CASES OF INTEREST AT THE OLD BAILEY ON TUESDAY
Court 1 at 10am Inquest into the death of Sabrina Rizvi, 25,who was fatally shot in the early hours of 20 March 2003 outside Bexleyheath police station in South London. The inquest follows a long fight by the victim’s family to get the death looked into again.
Court 5 at 10.30am trial in the case of Mark Gordon and Constance Marten charged with manslaughter, concealing the birth of a child and perverting the course of justice. A huge search was sparked when Constance was known to have given birth. The couple went on the run because they did not want the baby to be taken into care. The baby’s body was found in woodland near Brighton.
Court 6 at 9.45am Mention in the case of Joshua Michals accused of murder following the body of a 31 year old woman being found in a South London house. The victim was stabbed to death.
Court 6 at 10.30am trial of Michael Ematuwo and three other alleged drug dealers accused of plotting to murder a rival. They were arrested after police decoded conversations on an encrypted military-grade chat room.
Court 7 at 10am Mention in the case of Sabin Manda accused of murder. Bajram Luli, 27, was found injured in a car in West London and died in hospital.
Court 7 at 10am trial of Denzel Kwateng and seven others in relation to the murder of 17-year-old Denardo Samuels-Brooks, who was stabbed to death in Streatham, South London.
Court 8 at 10am trial in the case of Enriko Spadiu and others accused of murder. Kai McGinley,24, was shot dead in Erith, Kent.
Court 9 at 10.30am trial of of Adele Okojie Aidonojie, who is alleged to have killed two passengers in her Mini Cooper after it rolled over. A third passenger was injured in the accident. Both Mary Macharia, 23, and Rida Boutjettif, 24, died in the crash in Battersea, South West London
Court 10 at 9.45am Sentence of Taylan Arslan concerning the murder of Business management student Hina Bashir,27, whose body was found in a suitcase hidden in undergrowth
Court 12 at 10am Mention in the case of Derrick Brown accused of murder. Pensioner Richard Brathwaite,72, was stabbed in the street in Wembley, West London
Court 12 at 10.30am trial of Tyrese Barnett and seven others in relation to the murder of Tyler McDermott, 17, who died in hospital in Tottenham, North London from a gunshot wound to his head.
Court 13 at 10am Case management in the case of Kyiza Sandiford, 23, charged with 22 year old Keelen Morris Wong’s murder. The victim was stabbed to death in South London.
Court 16 at 10am trial in the case of Asad Sharif and seven others in relation to the murder of 18-year-old Abubakkar ‘Junior’ Jah in East London in 2021. The victim was shot and stabbed.
