CASES OF INTEREST AT THE OLD BAILEY ON FRIDAY
Court 1 at 10am Case management in the case of Nanu Miah and four others accused of murder. Property manager Eron Miah,40, was found at 10.30pm lying in a side road in Whitechapel, East London on November 19th with gunshot wounds to the head.
Court 1 at 12.30pm Mention in the case of of Sandy Kaur, 47, and Aaron Sanghera, 26, who allowed their company to be used to launder over £750,000 stolen by a fraudster posing as a rich businessman.
Court 5 at 9.30am Hearing in the case of Eamonn Harrison in relation to a lorry in which 39 Vietnamese migrants died. Eight women and 31 men were found in the container in Purfleet, Essex, on 23 October last year. Police said they died from a lack of oxygen and overheating in an enclosed space.
Court 5 at 10.30am Plea and trial preparation in the case of Daniel Briceno Garcia accused of a double murder. Sonia Calvi, 56, and 59-year-old Edgar Daza were found with multiple stab wounds at a flat in Stockwell, south London
Court 8 Not sitting trial of Aydin Altun and two other members of his family accused of trying to mow down a police officer after a shooting in Tottenham, North London.
Court 10 at 10am Extradition hearing continues in the case of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange. He is wanted in the US for allegedly conspiring with army intelligence analyst Chelsea Manning to expose military secrets between January and May 2010
Court 14 at 10am Jury expected to retire in the case of Jimmy Onesta accused of rape. The victim was allegedly subjected to threats and a campaign of abuse. She told police that she only stayedMention in the case of Ryan Gordon accused of conspiracy to murder and firearms offences. with him because she was frightened.
Court 14 at 11.30am Case management in the case of Dean Townsend and four other teenagers accused of murder. Joao Ricardo Gomes,18, was fatally stabbed on 13 May 2017 in Enfield, North London
Court 16 at 10am trial of Errol James, 51, and Romello Briggs-Leon, 25, who deny murder. Eraj Seifi, 46, was shot in the head in West London.
