Court 3 at 10.30am trial of Suffolk serial killer Steve Wright accused of the 1999 murder of 17-year-old Victoria Hall. He denies kidnapping and murdering the teenager. The judge has ruled a jury can be made aware of Wright’s previous convictions for the murder of five women who worked as prostitutes in the Ipswich area in 2006.
Court 5 at 10.30am trial in the case of Ercan Akbal and five other Kurds, who have pleaded not guilty to membership of the proscribed group, the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, also known as the PKK, between March 1 2011 and November 27 2024.

Court 10 at 10am trial in the case of Russian sea captian Vladimir Motin. His container ship crashed into a US oil tanker in the North Sea and he is charged with manslaughter on the grounds of gross negligence. Crew member Mark Angelo Pernia, 38, died in the collision off the East Yorkshire coast.
