Court 1 at 10am trial of Christopher Wilson accused of murder. The victim, 18-year-old Kacem Mokrane, was stabbed in the stomach in Walthamstow, east London.
Court 2 at 11.30am Mention in the case of Harry Gittins accused of the murder of a homeless man. Anthony Marks, 51, was assaulted in the early hours of 10 August in a bin shed near King’s Cross St Pancras station. He died on 25 September 2024.
Court 5 Not sitting trial of three family members accused of the murder of 10 year old Sara Sharif, whose body was discovered at her home in Woking, Surrey. The child’s father, Urfan Sharif, 42, stepmother, Beinash Batool, 30, and uncle, Faisal Malik, 28, are accused of murder and to causing or allowing the death of a child between December 16 2022 and August 9 2023. The father admitted punishing her for being”naughty” after fleeing to Pakistan. Sara’s body was found with dozens of injuries, and she had been hooded, burned and beaten during more than two years of abuse.
Court 5 at 10am trial of brothers Paul and Matthew Yusuff and their friend Moussa Traore accused of the fatal stabbing of Adrian Kise, 32, outside Waterloo station.
Court 6 at 10.30am trial of Dzhamilya Timaeva, 19, who gained a place at an Islamic Sunday school in order to teach her “extremist” beliefs to young children, the court heard. She saw it as a “duty” of her Islamic faith to “wage war against non-believers”, it is alleged.
Court 7 at 10.15am trial of three suspected Russian spies. Bulgarian nationals, Ivan Stoyanov, Vanya Gaberova and Katrin Ivanova were arrested under the Official Secrets Act and are said to have been working for a Russian agent.
Court 9 at 10am trial of hospital worker Benjamin Aninakwa and an NHS trust who have both denied causing the death of a 22-year-old mental health patient after she allegedly gained access to items used in 18 earlier attempts to take her own life. Alice Figueiredo died at Goodmayes Hospital, north-east London, in 2015.
Court 10 at 10am trial of of Ben Laing and another accused of murder. Tyreece Scott,24, was stabbed to death in Hounslow, London NW
Court 11 at 10am trial of Tyreece Riggon and another in relation to the murder of Lavaun Witter,22, who was stabbed to death in Croydon, south London
Court 12 at 10am trial of Saqib Khan and two others accused in relation to the murder of 26-year-old Anselam Senaj, who was stabbed to death inside a car in East London.
Court 13 at 10am trial of John Budal and two others accused of murder. Michael Patrick Afonso Peixoto, 27, was stabbed to death on 19 December in Croydon, South London in what was described as a “premeditated attack”
Court 14 at 10am trial of Vittorio Di Murro with the murder of Jordan Briscoe after being extradited to the UK from Italy. Briscoe was stabbed to death in North London
