Court 1 at 10am trial of Christopher Wilson accused of murder. The victim, 18-year-old Kacem Mokrane, was stabbed in the stomach in Walthamstow, east London.
Court 3 at 10am Mention in the case of Fatima Umar accused of murder. Alan Geary, 46, was stabbed to death and she allegedly attempted to murder and a 56-year-old woman, who was also stabbed in Bow, East London.
Court 5 at 10am Closing speeches in the trial of three family members accused of the murder of 10 year old Sara Sharif, whose body was discovered at her home in Woking, Surrey. The child’s father, Urfan Sharif, 42, stepmother, Beinash Batool, 30, and uncle, Faisal Malik, 28, are accused of murder and to causing or allowing the death of a child between December 16 2022 and August 9 2023. The father admitted punishing her for being”naughty” after fleeing to Pakistan. Sara’s body was found with dozens of injuries, and she had been hooded, burned and beaten during more than two years of abuse.

Court 6 at 11am trial of Dzhamilya Timaeva, 19, who gained a place at an Islamic Sunday school in order to teach her “extremist” beliefs to young children, the court heard. She saw it as a “duty” of her Islamic faith to “wage war against non-believers”, it is alleged.
Court 7 at 10am trial of four suspected Russian spies. Bulgarian nationals, Ivan Stoyanov, Thomir Ivanchev, Vanya Gaberova and Katrin Ivanova were arrested under the Official Secrets Act after being found with multiple passports from different countries.
Court 9 at 9am trial of hospital worker Benjamin Aninakwa and an NHS trust who have both denied causing the death of a 22-year-old mental health patient after she allegedly gained access to items used in 18 earlier attempts to take her own life. Alice Figueiredo died at Goodmayes Hospital, north-east London, in 2015.
