Cases of interest at the Old Bailey on Wednesday
Court 1 at 2.30pm Plea and trial preparation in the case of Yostin Andres Mosquera accused of murdering two men whose remains were found in suitcases at Bristol’s Clifton Suspension Bridge and at a London flat. The victims are Albert Alfonso, 62, and Paul Longworth, 71.
Court 2 at 10am trial of Mohammed IIdow accused of raping and killing a woman in West London. Natalie Shotter, 37, died on 17 July 2021 in Southall Park after a night out with friends.
Court 5 at 10am Jury deliberating in the trial of a 17 year old, who cannot be named as he is aged under 18, accused of murder. The victim 16 year old Harry Pitman was stabbed to death after accidentally bumping into a stranger. The teenager on trial allegedly claims the killing was an accident and he was acting in self defence.
Court 5 at 10.30am New trial of three family members accused of the murder of 10 year old Sara Sharif, whose body was discovered at her home in Woking, Surrey. The child’s father, Urfan Sharif, 42, stepmother, Beinash Batool, 30, and uncle, Faisal Malik, 28, are accused of murder and to causing or allowing the death of a child between December 16 2022 and August 9 2023. The case is expected to start before a jury next Monday.
Court 6 at 2pm Mention in the case of Muhamed Nur Osman accused of murder. The body of 50-year-old Billy Keegan was found with a stab injury in the corridor of a block of flats in Ilford, East London
Court 7 at 10am trial of Elijah Seriki and two other youths accused of attempted murder after a 23 year old man was stabbed in London Fields, East London.
Court 9 at 10am Sentence in the case of Tyrese Jennings in relation to the killing of Yusuf Mohamoud,18, who was stabbed to death in Finchley, North London
Court 9 at 10.30am trial of Melvis Mariano and Abby Lowne in relation to the killing of 19-year-old Kamal Nuur, who was stabbed to death in Islington, North London
Court 10 at 10am trial of Kyiza Sandiford, 23, and two others charged with in relation to 22 year old Keelen Morris Wong’s murder. The victim was stabbed to death in South London.
Court 11 at 10.30am trial of police marksman Martyn Blake accused of murder. The victim, 24-year-old Chris Kaba, was in the driver’s seat of an Audi car when he was shot in the head in Streatham, south London, in September 2022.
Court 12 at 10am New trial of Saqib Khan and others accused in relation to the murder of 26-year-old Anselam Senaj, who was stabbed to death inside a car in East London.
Court 13 at 10am trial of Christian Braimah and three others accused of murder. Naython Muir, 43, was stabbed to death In Hounslow, London NW.
Court 14 at 10am Mention in the case of Jayson Rodriguez-McDonald accused of murder. Sebastiaan James-Kraan,20, died in hospital three days after being shot in Templeman Road in Hanwell, Ealing, West London
Court 14 at 10.30am trial of Dajour Jones accused of the murder of 20-year-old Jamie Gilbey, who disappeared. His body was found in South Norwood, South London
