Cases of interest at the Old Bailey on Thursday

Court 2 Not sitting trial in the case of Petko Zhutev who was arrested in a police operation that netted up to 184 million pounds worth of cocaine. 

Court 3 at 10am trial in the case of Rashid Gedel and another, accused of stabbing to death aspiring lawyer Sven Badzak,22, as well as the alleged attempted murder of the victim’s 16-year-old friend in the same incident. The two victims went out to buy bagels in Kilburn, London NW when they were attacked in a case of mistaken identity, the court heard.

Court 5 at 10.15am Sentence of Asim Hasan who was found guilty of murdering his wife. Aaisha Hasan, 34, predicted her own death, allegedly keeping a chronicle of recordings of her husband’s violent and abusive behavior towards her. She suffered 36 stab wounds.

Court 6 at 10am trial of Jamal Grant and two others accused of stabbing to death 25-year-old Devon Jensen-Wallace in Brent, West London.

Court 7 at 10.15am Sentencing continues of the man, who broke into Windsor Castle armed with a loaded crossbow. The hearing is expected to be streamed live on Youtube on the Sky News channel. Jaswant Chail  pleaded guilty to three charges, including an offence under the Treason Act. It is alleged he intended to harm the Queen

Court 12 at 10am trial of Joshua Broddle and others in relation to the discovery of two explosive devices in Greys Inn, in the heart of London’s legal quarter.

Court 13 at 10am trial in the case of Ronnie Haydon and others accused of murder. Imran Isat,30, was stabbed to death in Newbury Park, East London

Court 16 at 10am trial in the case of Amraj Poonia and five others accused over the murder of Mohammed Shah Subhani,27, known as Shah, who was reported missing on May 7, 2019, when he failed to return to his home in Hounslow, west London. His body, which allegedly had shown signs of being tied up and burned, was found by chance in woodland.
