CASES OF INTEREST AT THE OLD BAILEY ON FRIDAY

Court 1 at 10.30am trial  in the case of Danville Neil, who  is accused of killing 74-year-old Ann Castle and her 71-year-old brother William Bryan, almost 25 years ago in August 1993. He is also accused of burglary.

Court 1 at 2pm Plea and trial preparation in the case of Jordan McSweeney accused of the murder of 35 year old, law graduate,  Zara Aleena, who suffered a sex attack as she walked home from a night out. The victim died of head injuries after allegedly being stamped on. The defendant is also accused of attempted rape and robbery of a mobile phone.

Court 4 at 9.30am Mention Mention in the case of Cavan Medlock, who was allegedly armed with a knife when he is claimed to have carried out a racist attack on a firm of lawyers that he blamed for assisting migrants. Medlock allegedly attacked the London offices of Duncan Lewis solicitors, which has been involved in a series of high-profile immigration cases, days after former Home Secretary, Priti Patel, claimed that “activist lawyers” were frustrating the removal of failed asylum seekers.

Court 6 at 10am trial in the case of Mohamed El Abboud, 26 and Kusai Al-jundi, 23 who have both been charged with the murder of Louise Kam,71. The pensioner was last seen by a family member near the Spires Shopping Centre in Barnet, Herts at around 12.30hrs on Monday, 26 July. Her body was found at an address in Harrow, Middlesex on Sunday, 1 August.

Court 7 at 10.30am trial of former GP Manish Shah, who allegedly persuaded patients to have vaginal and breast examinations for his ‘sexual gratification’, Shah, 53, denies 41 sexual offences against eight victims over a five-year period between 2009 and July 2013.

Court 8 at 10am trial in the case of Mohammed Ali and two others accused of murder. Iron Miah,40, was shot in the head in Whitechapel, East London.

Court 11 at 10am trial in the case of Kieran McHugh and another accused of murder. Abdi Khadar Adan,32, died in hospital after he was stabbed in East London at around 4.30pm on Sunday August 22

Court 12 at 10am trial in the case of Ronnie Haydon and others accused of murder. Imran Isat,30, was stabbed to death in Newbury Park, East London

Court 13 at 2pm Sentence in the case of Keelan Johnson,21, who repeatedly stabbed his mother, Joyce Doyle, in the face and neck, while she was watching television and music videos on the sofa at her Bromley, London SE home . Johnson claimed he was hearing voices.

Court 16 at 10am trial in the case of Cornell Burrell and Oliver Scott accused of murder. The body of gym sales manager Justin Bello,38 was body found in a bin shed by dustmen. He had been strangled. Three others are also in the dock accused of trying to cover up the crime.
