CASES OF INTEREST AT THE OLD BAILEY ON WEDNESDAY

Court 1 at 10.30am trial  in the case of Danville Neil, who  is accused of killing 74-year-old Ann Castle and her 71-year-old brother William Bryan, almost 25 years ago in August 1993. He is also accused of burglary.

Court 4 at 2pm Plea and trial preparation in the case of Verushan Manoharan accused of stabbing to death his 89 year old grandmother.

Court 5 at 2pm trial in the case of Jaden McGibbon and another accused of murdering 19-year-old Taylor Cox, who was shot in the head in broad daylight in Islington, North London.

Court 6 at 10am  trial in the case of David Cheres accused of murder. Thai national Tiparat Argatu, 43, died from neck and head injuries at a property in east London after her husband, Cheres, found out she was having an affair with the victim.

Court 7 at 10am trial of former GP Manish Shah, who allegedly persuaded patients to have vaginal and breast examinations for his ‘sexual gratification’, Shah, 53, denies 41 sexual offences against eight victims over a five-year period between 2009 and July 2013.

Court 8 at 11.30am trial in the case of Mohammed Ali and two others accused of murder. Iron Miah,40, was shot in the head in Whitechapel, East London.

Court 11 at 10.30am trial in the case of Kieran McHugh and another accused of murder. Abdi Khadar Adan,32, died in hospital after he was stabbed in East London at around 4.30pm on Sunday August 22

Court 12 at 10am trial in the case of Ronnie Haydon and others accused of murder. Imran Isat,30, was stabbed to death in Newbury Park, East London

Court 13 at 10amJury may retire in the trial of Franklin McLeod accused of murder. He is alleged to have stabbed his partner of ten years through the neck after he discovered voice messages from another man, the court has heard. Franklin McLeod, 55, allegedly killed Marlene Coleman, 53, at the flat they shared in Lewisham, London SE.

Court 13 at 11.30am Plea and trial preparation in the case of bus driver Olusofa Popoola. He is accused of causing the death by dangerous driving of 32-year-old Melissa Burr after his electric, single decker crashed into the back of another bus in Victoria Bus station.

Court 16 at 10am trial in the case of Cornell Burrell and Oliver Scott accused of murder. The body of gym sales manager Justin Bello,38 was body found in a bin shed by dustmen. He had been strangled. Three others are also in the dock accused of trying to cover up the crime.
