Cases of interest at the Old Bailey on Friday

Court 1 at 10am Mention in the case of Abdelaziz Maaroufi accused of murder. Pensioner Peter Marecheau,67, was assualted in Brent, West London and died of his injuries.

Court 5 at 10am trial in the case of Jaden McGibbon and another accused of murdering 19-year-old Taylor Cox, who was shot in the head in broad daylight in Islington, North London.

Court 6 at 9.30am Plea and trial preparation in the case of Amraj Poonia and others accused of murder. Mohammed Shah Subhani, known as Shah, was reported missing on May 7, 2019, when he failed to return to his home in Hounslow, west London. The 27-year-old’s remains were found by chance buried in woodland near Beaconsfield, on December 19 2019. The cause of death has not been ascertained, an examination of bones suggested his hands were tied and there had been burning to the body.

Court 6 at 10am Plea and trial preparation in the case of Maher Maaroufe accused of killing University of London student Sabita Thanwani,19. A post-mortem examination confirmed the cause of death as sharp force trauma to the neck.

Court 6 at 11am trial in the case of Darren Constant accused of murdering his mother Judy,62, four years ago. The victim died of “blunt force trauma”

Court 7 at 10am trial of Leon Rashid and three other teenagers accused of attempted murder. Police were called to Henry Road, Brixton, South London at 6.15pm on February 23, where they found James Bascoe-Smith,17, suffering from stab injuries.

Court 8 Not sitting trial Romain Lapierre and others, including a youth who was 15 at the time of the offence, accused of murder. The victim, 16-year-old Camron Smith, was stabbed to death in Croydon, South London

Court 9 at 10am trial in the case of Jaden Forde and another accused of murder. The victim, 19-year-old Ahmed Beker was stabbed to death in Paddington Green, West London.

Court 11 at 10am trial in the case Ramela Gordon and another and accused drugs and conspiracy to commit violence offences.

Court 12 at 10am trial in the case of Reuel Briscoe and others accused of attempted murder after a 32 year old man was shot in Hackney, East London.

Court 14 at 9.30am Plea and trial preparation in the case of Joshua Mensah accused of murder after a 51 year old man was stabbed to death in Enfield, North London

Court 14 at 10am Mention in the case of Jermain Myers accused of murder. The victim, Nicholas Sutin, 55, was involved in a fight in Finchley, North London.  The cause of death was given as head injuries and a stab wound to the neck.

Court 15 at 10am trial in the case of Shaddai Smith and another accused of murder.   Renato Geci, 21, was found with fatal stab wounds in Hounslow, London NW on 22 March.

Court 16 at 10am trial of Daryl Bethel and others accused of the murder of a 15 year old schoolboy. Ian Habimana was stabbed in the heart in Woolwich last July as he made his way home from school in what was described as a “revenge attack”
