Cases of interest at the Old Bailey on Monday

Court 1 at 2pm Mention in the case of Darren Parchment accused of the murder of a man in his 40’s in South Norwood, South London

Court 6 at 9.30am Mention in the case of Shabazz Suleman accused of being member of ISIS and preparing acts of terrorism.

Court 6 at 10am trial Nathan Smith who was arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of 30-year-old Algerian delivery rider Takieddine ‘Taki’ Boudhane in an alleged road rage incident.

Court 7 at 10am Sentence of in the case of professional footballer Benjamin Agyeman-Badu, 21, and others. The former Blackpool FC winger Agyeman-Badu is said to have been in possession of 1922 model Browning self-loading pistol.

Court 8 Not sitting trial of Romain Lapierre and others, including a youth who was 15 at the time of the offence, accused of murder. The victim, 16-year-old Camron Smith, was stabbed to death in Croydon, South London.

Court 10 at 10am Jury expected to retire in the trial of Leeban Farah and five others accused of conspiracy to murder following a “gun battle” outside a funeral party in London NW. The victim, Billy McCullagh, 27, who was shot dead, had travelled with his friends in a stolen Land Rover to target rival gang members in July 2020, but the “tables quickly turned” and the surprise attack failed, the court heard.

Court 11 Not sitting trial in the case of Kofi Nyanor and others accused drugs and conspiracy to commit violence offences.

Court 12 at 10am trial in the case of Jeremiah Briscoe accused of conspiracy to commit GBH. Natalie Bignell,33, caught in the cross fire of a shoot out between rival gangs in Hackney, East London and was shot in the neck. She was rendered a quadriplegic by injuries she sustained.

Court 16 at 10am trial of Daryl Bethel and others accused of the murder of a 15 year old schoolboy. Ian Habimana was stabbed in the heart in Woolwich last July as he made his way home from school in what was described as a “revenge attack”
