CASES OF INTEREST AT THE OLD BAILEY ON FRIDAY

Court 1 at 10am trial in the case of Junior Gbadamosi accused of attempted murder. The 22 year old allegedly hit a woman neighbour around the head with a guitar and a cat scratcher. She claims he repeatedly shouted: “In the name of Jesus, you’re a Satanist, you deserve to die.”

Court 4 at 9.20am Preliminary hearing in the case of Mohammad Zubair Khan, o who is charged with eight counts of dissemination of terrorist material (contrary to Section 2 of the Terrorism Act 2006).

Court 4 at 9.40am Sentence in the case of Conrad Howarth, who is charged with possession of a document or record of information that was of a kind likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism contrary to section 58(1)(b) Terrorism Act 2000, and possession of an extreme pornographic image contrary to section 63 of the Criminal Justice and Immigration Act 2008.

Court 4 at 10am Preliminary hearing in the case of Ahmed Hussain accused of a terrorist related offence.

Court 4 at 3pm Plea and trial preparation in the case of Dean Adams, 31, and Deon Brisport, 29,  both charged with murder and attempted murder. The case concerns a double shooting in East London in which Otas Sarkus died and an 18 year old youth was injured.

Court 5 at 9.30am Pre-trial review in the case of Daniel Morris and others accused of murder. Liam Dent, 25, was dragged for half a mile under a car in Chessington, Surrey.

Court 5 at 10am trial in the case of Kane Gilead accused of murder. The victim 25-year-old Ramane Wiggan, was shot dead in Lambeth, South London

Court 6 at 10.15am trial in the case of Matthew Henegan, who allegedly kept a terrorist weapons manual and handed out leaflets to ‘stir up racial hatred’.

Court 8 at 10am trial in the case of David Adeyanju and others accused of murder. Minicab driver Gabriel Bringye, 37, was found collapsed inside a vehicle in Tottenham, north London suffering from stab wounds.

Court 9 at 11am (appearing remotely) New trial of Asad Bhatti charged with terrorist offences. He is accused of possessing chemicals found in a storage unit that were capable of producing the explosive substance nitroglycerine. Three remote detonators, including an improvised detonator that contained traces of an explosive substance, were also allegedly found at his Redhill, Surrey home and in the storage unit.

Court 10 at 10am Mention in the case of Achilleas Costa accused of the murder of a 61 year old father and his 31 year old daughter in Wood Green, North London

Court 12 AT 10am trial in the case of Leon Smith, 39, Warwick Burrows, 47, and others, who are said to have been part of a gang war waged against Turkish crime families in north London. They deny conspiracy to murder.

Court 14 at 10.30am trial of Nicola Leighton and her son Tyreese Ulysses,19, accused of murdering Levi Ernest-Morrison,17, who was hacked to death in a machete attack in Sydenham, London SE.
