CASES OF INTEREST AT THE OLD BAILEY ON FRIDAY

Court 5 at 10am Sentence of Rowan Joseph, who was accused of serious sexual offences

Court 5 at 2pm Sentence of Shehroz Iqbal charged with dissemination of terrorist material contrary to Section 2 of the Terrorism Act 2006.

Court 6 at 10.30am trial of Levi Paschal, 33, and Clementine Jones, 31, who allegedly stabbed to death, Lee Casey, 39, in Brixton, south London, when it is claimed he tried to stop them mugging his friend. 

Court 8 at 10am trial of Francis Appiagyei and two others accused of murder. David Bello-Monerville,38, was fatally stabbed in Barnet, north London, on 18 June. The victim’s two brothers had also met violent deaths.

Court 9 at 10.15am Jury deliberating in the trial of Tyla Gopaul accused of stabbing to death Zakaria Abukar Shariff Ali, 26, outside the Rolling Stock nightclub in Shoreditch, East London on 24 November 2018.

Court 9 at 2pm Mention in the case Abel Berhany, who is charged with the murder of 56-year-old Abraham Haile on July 28. The victim was stamped on at City Slots, an amusement arcade in Camden, North London

Court 11 at9.30am Hearing in the case of Khairi Saadallah accused of the Reading terror attack.  Saadallah, 25, is charged with murdering James Furlong, 36, David Wails, 49, and Joseph Ritchie-Bennett, 39, with a large kitchen knife in Forbury Gardens, Reading shortly before 7pm on Saturday 20 June.

Court 11 at 12 noon Mention in the case of 18 year old Muhammad Jalloh and a 16 year old youth who deny murder. David Gomoh, 24. an NHS worker was stabbed to death outside his home in Newham, east London.

Court 11 at 2pm Mention in the case of Imran Boudjellel and others accused of murder. The victim, 15-year-old Joseph Marafini was stabbed to death in Wandsworth, London SW 

Court 12 Not sitting trial of Shaian Forde, 25,  and others including two schoolboys aged 14 and 16, accused of murder.  Santino Angelo Dymiter,18, was stabbed to death in East London.

Court 12 at 2pm Sentence of Christian Fearon and another accused of the murder of Lennox Nigel Alcendor,42, in Cricklewood, London NW. The victim was stabbed in the neck

Court 13 at 10am trial of Jordan Bramble who allegedly strangled Carl Thorpe, 46,  who had recently arrived at his mental health unit and then set his body ablaze. Bramble, 21, is charged with murder and arson at the Highgate Mental Health Centre on Dartmouth Park Hill, north London.

Court 15 at 9.30am Preliminary hearing in the case of Shakil Chapra accused of sharing a video by terrorist group Boko Haram in a WhatsApp chat.

Court 15 at 10am Preliminary hearing in the case of Matthew Henegan accused of terrorist related offences

Court 16 at 10.15am Defence case continues in the trial of HGV driver, Eamonn Harrison and three others in relation to a lorry in which 39 Vietnamese migrants died. Eight women and 31 men were found in the container in Purfleet, Essex, on 23 October last year. Police said they died from a lack of oxygen and overheating in an enclosed space.
