CASES OF INTEREST AT THE OLD BAILEY ON THURSDAY
Court 1 at 10.15am trial of Christian Fearon and another accused of the murder of Lennox Nigel Alcendor,42, in Cricklewood, London NW. The victim was stabbed in the neck.
Court 2 at 10am Pre-trial review in the case of Louis Kelly accused of murder. Mark McCann-Barrett, 33, was shot in Tottenham, North London and died three days later from his wounds.
Court 2 at 2pm Plea and trial preparation in the case of Ahmed Yamac accused of stabbing to death Skender Ismaili,19, in Enfield, north London.
Court 2 Mention in the case of Jahzeel Lewis accused of stabbing to death a fellow prisoner at HMP Coldingley. Madala Washington, 25, was attacked as he was on the way to prayers
Court 5 at 10am Sentence of Brusthom Ziamani, 24, and Baz Hockton, 26, accused of attempted murder of a prison officer at HMP Whitemore. The officer, Neil Trundle, sustained stab and slash wounds to his head, chest and face. Hocton had allegedly donned a fake suicide vest.
Court 7 at 9.45am Sentence of Philip Tarver accused of murdering his 86 year old mother with an ornamental sword and then decapitating her at their detached £600,000 Surrey home.
Court 8 at 10am trial of Aydin Altun and two other members of his family accused of trying to mow down a police officer after a shooting in Tottenham, North London.
Court 9 at 10.15am trial of £90,000 a year finance consultant Clare Sanders and her partner accused of murdering their four week old baby. The tot suffered severe head injuries.
Court 14 at 10.30am trial of Mohammed Humza accused of terrorist related offences
Court 16 at 10am New trial of HGV driver, Eamonn Harrison and three others in relation to a lorry in which 39 Vietnamese migrants died. Eight women and 31 men were found in the container in Purfleet, Essex, on 23 October last year. Police said they died from a lack of oxygen and overheating in an enclosed space.
