CASES OF INTEREST AT THE OLD BAILEY ON MONDAY
Court 1 at 10.15am trial of Christian Fearon and another accused of the murder of Leenox Nigel Alcendor,42, in Cricklewood, London NW. The victim was stabbed in the neck.
Court 2 at 2pm Mention in the case of Armen Aristakesyan accused of murdering a woman in Ealing, West London. Serafima Meshaka, 58, died after suffering head injuries.
Court 2 at 2.30pm Mention in the case of Joseph Kokkinos accused of murder. Loeike Guei,23, was set on fire in Mitcham, South London and died.
Court 5 at 10am trial of Brusthom Ziamani, 24, and Baz Hockton, 26, accused of attempted murder of a prison officer at HMP Whitemore. The officer, Neil Trundle, sustained stab and slash wounds to his head, chest and face. Hocton had allegedly donned a fake suicide vest.
Court 7 at 10am Court 2 trial of Philip Tarver accused of murdering his 86 year old mother with an ornamental sword and then decapitating her at their detached £600,000 Surrey home. He allegedly stored her head in a freezer.
Court 8 at 10am trial of Aydin Altun and two other members of his family accused of trying to mow down a police officer after a shooting in Tottenham, North London.
Court 10 Not sitting extradition hearing of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange. He is wanted in the US for allegedly conspiring with army intelligence analyst Chelsea Manning to expose military secrets between January and May 2010.
Court 13 at 10am trial of Errol James, 51, and Romello Briggs-Leon, 25, who deny murder. Eraj Seifi, 46, was shot in the head in West London.
Court 14 at 2pm New trial of Mohammed Humza accused of terrorist related offences
Court 16 at 9.30am Sentence of Shahid Khan, 28, who admitted breaching conditions imposed on him following his conviction in 2012 for travelling to Pakistan to undergo training at a jihadist camp. The convicted terrorist failed to tell police he had acquired new replacement bank cards and a mobile phone.
Court 16 at 10.30am New trial of HGV driver, Eamonn Harrison and three others in relation to a lorry in which 39 Vietnamese migrants died. Eight women and 31 men were found in the container in Purfleet, Essex, on 23 October last year. Police said they died from a lack of oxygen and overheating in an enclosed space.
