CASES OF INTEREST AT THE OLD BAILEY ON THURSDAY

Court 1 at 10.15am New trial of Christian Fearon and another accused of the murder of Leenox Nigel Alcendor,42, in Cricklewood, London NW. The victim was stabbed in the neck

Court 2 at 9.45am trial of Philip Tarver accused of murdering his 86 year old mother with an ornamental sword and then decapitating her at their detached £600,000 Surrey home. He allegedly stored her head in a freezer.

Court 5 at 10am trial of Brusthom Ziamani, 24, and Baz Hockton, 26, accused of attempted murder of a prison officer at HMP Whitemore. The officer, Neil Trundle, sustained stab and slash wounds to his head, chest and face. Hocton had allegedly donned a fake suicide vest.

Court 8 at 10am trial of Aydin Altun and two other members of his family accused of trying to mow down a police officer after a shooting in Tottenham, North London.

Court 10 at 10am Extradition hearing continues in the case of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange. He is wanted in the US for allegedly conspiring with army intelligence analyst Chelsea Manning to expose military secrets between January and May 2010.

Court 15 at 10.15am Mention in the case of Immanuel Oyewo accused of attempting to murder a random Jewish man.  The teenager allegedly approached Zeev Levy and attempted to open fire with a loaded six-shot-gate gun on 17 February.

Court 15 at 11am Sentence of Obina Ezeoke who was convicted of a double murder. He is alleged to have shot dead Annie Besala Ekofo, 53, and her nephew Bervil Kalikala-Ekofo,21 in East Finchley, London. It was a case of mistaken identity.

Court 16 at 9.30am Hearing in the case of Eamonn Harrison and two others in relation to a lorry in which 39 Vietnamese migrants died. Eight women and 31 men were found in the container in Purfleet, Essex, on 23 October last year. Police said they died from a lack of oxygen and overheating in an enclosed space.

Court 16 at 9.30am trial of Errol James, 51, and Romello Briggs-Leon, 25, who deny murder. Eraj Seifi, 46, was shot in the head in West London
