CASES OF INTEREST AT THE OLD BAILEY ON MONDAY

Court 1 at 10am Pre-trial review in the case of Shariq Khan accused ofr murder. Mohammed Mirza, 19, was stabbed to death in Ilford, East London last November.

Court 1 at 12 noon. New trial of Christian Fearon and another accused of the murder of Leenox Nigel Alcendor,42, in Cricklewood, London NW. The victim was stabbed in the neck

Court 2 at 10am trial of Philip Tarver accused of murdering his 86 year old mother with an ornamental sword and then decapitating her at their detached £600,000 Surrey home. He allegedly stored her head in a freezer.

Court 5 at 10am trial of Brusthom Ziamani, 24, and Baz Hockton, 26, accused of attempted murder of a prison officer at HMP Whitemore. The officer, Neil Trundle, sustained stab and slash wounds to his head, chest and face. Hocton had allegedly donned a fake suicide vest.

Court 8 Not sitting trial of Aydin Altun and two other members of his family accused of trying to mow down a police officer after a shooting in Tottenham, North London.

Court 8 at 9.30am Hearing in the case of Eamonn Harrison in relation to a lorry in which 39 Vietnamese migrants died. Eight women and 31 men were found in the container in Purfleet, Essex, on 23 October last year. Police said they died from a lack of oxygen and overheating in an enclosed space.

Court 10 at 10am Extradition hearing continues in the case of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange. He is wanted in the US for allegedly conspiring with army intelligence analyst Chelsea Manning to expose military secrets between January and May 2010.

Court 13 at 3pm Plea and trial preparation in the case of Hassan Hamza and others accused of murder. Irmani Allaway-Muir,22, was shot dead in Islington, North London.

Court 16 at 10am trial of Errol James, 51, and Romello Briggs-Leon, 25, who deny murder. Eraj Seifi, 46, was shot in the head in West London.
