CASES OF INTEREST AT THE OLD BAILEY ON FRIDAY

Court 1 at 9.30am Application in the case of Olga Freeman the ex-wife celebrity photographer Dean Freeman, who is accused of killing their 10 year old disabled son during lockdown while struggling with his care needs. The boy died due to his airways being restricted.

Court 1 at 12 noon Plea and trial preparation in the case of Jamal Sealy accused of attacking Dawn Bennett, who died on her 59th birthday, six days after she was stabbed.

Court 1 at 2pm Sentence of Range Rover driver Ashraf Salem, who is accused of killing security guard Osama Sayam, 28, in a horrific car accident.

Court 2 at 10am Sentence in the case of Jason Kakaire who was accused of five charges of attempted murder. He is alleged to have stabbed five people at random in Edmonton, North London. One of the victims has been left paralysed after her spinal cord was severed.

Court 2 at 10am trial of Philip Tarver accused of murdering his 86 year old mother with an ornamental sword and then decapitating her at their detached £600,000 Surrey home. He allegedly stored her head in a freezer.

Court 5 at 10am trial of Brusthom Ziamani, 24, and Baz Hockton, 26, accused of attempted murder of a prison officer at HMP Whitemore. The officer, Neil Trundle, sustained stab and slash wounds to his head, chest and face. Hocton had allegedly donned a fake suicide vest.

Court 8 at 10am trial of Aydin Altun and two other members of his family accused of trying to mow down a police officer after a shooting in Tottenham, North London.

Court 10 at 10am Extradition hearing continues in the case of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange. He is wanted in the US for allegedly conspiring with army intelligence analyst Chelsea Manning to expose military secrets between January and May 2010.

Court 13 at 9.30am Mention in the case of Jimmy Onesta accused of rape. The victim was allegedly subjected to threats and a campaign of abuse. She told police that she only stayedMention in the case of Ryan Gordon accused of conspiracy to murder and firearms offences. with him because she was frightened.

Court 13 at 2pm Mention in the case of Khalid Hogan accused of murder. Abdullahi Mahmoud, 29, was shot dead in Enfield, North London.

Court 14 at 10am Review in the case of Kiziku Tuwizana and Besnik Berisha accused of a double murder. Two Eastern European men aged 30 and 35 years old were stabbed to death in Hertfordshire just before Xmas.

Court 16 at 9.30am Mention in the case of Liban Malhamoub accused of four counts of attempted murder. A mother and her three daughters, aged five, eight and 11, were rushed to hospital following the knife attack in Enfield, North London

Court 16 at 10am trial of Errol James, 51, and Romello Briggs-Leon, 25, who deny murder. Eraj Seifi, 46, was shot in the head in West London.
