CASES OF INTEREST AT THE OLD BAILEY ON FRIDAY

Court 5 at 10am Not sitting trial of Farah Ahmed, 42, who is charged with having a document containing information likely to be useful to a terrorist and disseminating terrorist material.

Court 5 at 9.30am Plea and trial preparation in the case of Aman Vyas accused  of raping and killing Michelle Samaraweera Walthamstow in 2009. He also denies attacking three other women and faces a further seven charges of rape and attempted murder.

Court 5 at 10am Sentence in the case of Hamza Ul-Haq and others. The case centered on the murder of 20 year old Joseph William-Torres, who was shot dead in a case mistaken identity, while sitting in his van in Walthamstow, East London. The defendants were involved in a turf war with a rival gang.

Court 9 at 9.45am Sentence of Aaron Fyle, who beat to death a 74 year old pensioner with a chair leg while burgling her home

Court 12 Not sitting trial of Karlos Gracia and three others accused of murder. Kwasi Mensah-Ababio,26, was shot in the head in Wembley, London NW.

Court 12 at 2pm Pre-trial review in the case of Terry Junior Dixon, 28,  charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger. A man was shot in the back and buttocks in Islington, North London but survived.

Court 14 Not sitting trial of Dominic Calder and two others accuased of murder. Meshach Lee Mitchell Williams, 21, was stabbed to death in Harlesden, London NW in April

Court 15 at 10am  trial of Chris McDonald and Aliysa Ellis accused of murder.  Body builder Paul Tong,53, was beaten to death during a robbery at his London home.

Court 16 at 9.30am trial continues of Roger Jenkins and two other senior Barclays Bank executives accused of fraud. They allegedly lied to secure billions of pounds from Qatari investors and averted a taxpayer-funded bailout during the global financial crisis.
