CASES OF INTEREST AT THE OLD BAILEY ON WEDNESDAY

Court 1 Inquerst into the death of Alexander Kareem, 20, who was shot dead in Shepherds Bush, West London on 8 June 2020 in what is believed to be a case of mistaken identity. The aspiring computer scientist was shot from a passing white Range Rover.

Court 2 at 10am trial of student Sarah Cotte charged with two counts of expressing support for a proscribed organisation (Hamas) under the Terrorism Act (2000).

Court 2 at 10.30am Plea and trial preparation in the case of Khalid Abdulqadir in relation to the murder of Finbar Sullivan, 21. The student film maker died after an alleged attack at Primrose Hill, where he was said to have been kicked, punched and stamped on before being stabbed.

Court 5 at 10am trial of five youths in connection with the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Keanu Harker in Enfield, North London, which occurred in June 2025. The victim was chased and shot twice.

Court 6 at 10am trial of Simon Levy,41, accused of murdering two women and raping a third. Carmenza Valencia-Trujillo, 53, Sheryl Wilkins,39, both died of a drugs overdose after having sex with the defendant. The rape and two murders were sexually motivated, the court heard

Court 12 at 10am trial of Dennis Gambrah and four others charged in connection with the murder of 18-year-old Tyrece Balcha, who was shot dead in Wembley, West London

Court 14 at 10am trial of a father and son attacked a man with a machete and a metal pole after a car was driven into their family’s restaurant and set alight. The defendants both called John Sayers deny causing grievous bodily harm with intent to Walter Patterson, who suffered deep wounds to his forearm and broken ribs. 

Court 15 at 10am trial in the case of Kevon Jenkins, who was charged with murder after a 22 year old man was stabbed to death in Wembley High Street in West London.

Court 16 at 10am trial of eight alleged Palestine Action activists following a break in at Elbit Systems UK. Palestine Action allege Elbit Systems UK is involved in the manufacture and supply of weapons to the Israeli military – a claim the company strongly denies.
