Cases of interest at the Old Bailey on Friday
Court 1 at 10am mention in the case of a 39 year old woman charged with the murder of a man in his 30’s. The victim was found dead in the back of van in a car park in Leicester. Harinder Kaur is also accused of perverting the course of justice.
Court 1 at 10.30am Case mangement in the case of former Metroplitan police officer John Doyle accused of multiple charges, including five counts of rape, GBH and miscondut in a public office. The charges relate ot a woman over a 12 year period.
Court 2 at 10am trial in the case of three Eastern European men accused of arson on properties related to PM Sir Kier Starmer. A vehicle fire in Kentish Town, north London, a fire at the prime minister’s private home on the same street and a fire at an address that he previously lived in Islington, north London. The court heard a Russian paid them to do it.
Court 5 trial of five youths in connection with the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Keanu Harker in Enfield, North London, which occurred in June 2025. The victim was chased and shot twice.
Court 5 at 2pm sentence of Bilal Tahir who admitted causing death by dangerous driving. Dr Habiba Hajallie and Lisa Webber died in the crash on the M20 in Kent in October 2022, which also left Mark Heap injured. His car collided with the victims while on the hard shoulder.
Court 6 at 10am trial in the case of a 39 year old Turkish man, who allegedly shot Onur Guzel, 38, after accusing his family of paying money to a rival Turkish gang. The defendant is alleged to have plotted to kill the victim, who was attacked outside his father’s popular restaurant, Umut 2000, in Dalston, east London
Court 10 Day off trial of Norwegian teenager Johannes Natland,19. It is alleged he is a hitman, who flew to the UK from Norway to murder an unknown target on behalf of an organised crime group used by the Iranian regime
Court 12 at 10am trial of Dennis Gambrah and four others charged in connection with the murder of 18-year-old Tyrece Balcha, who was shot dead in Wembley, West London
Court 13 Day off trial of two brothers accused of murdering a man 41 years ago as he walked home. Anthony Littler, 45, died from ‘catastrophic’ head injuries after he was found in an alleyway near East Finchley Tube station in north London on May 1, 1984.
Court 13 at 10.30am Preliminary hearing in the case of Lewie Chiarmello, who was allegedly involved in breaking into an RAF base and spray-painting two RAF Voyager planes. Police say the incident caused seven million pounds worth of damage.
Court 13 at 2.30am Preliminary hearing in the case of Moses Edwards and another accused taking part in an arson attack at a former synogue in East London.
Court 14 at 10am trial of Yonus Girma and another in relation to the murder of Stephen Morrison, 30. He was found seriously injured on the forecourt of a Shell petrol station in Epping Road, Epping, Essex, at about 8pm on June 23, 2020. He died later in hospital from stab wounds.
Court 15 at 10am trial of Dwight Merrick accused of murder. Shaun Latimer-Kayser,44, was stabbed to death in Camden, North London.
