Cases of interest at the Old Bailey on Thursday

Court 2 at 10am trial in the case of three Eastern European men accused of arson on properties related to PM Sir Kier Starmer.  A vehicle fire in Kentish Town, north London, a fire at the prime minister’s private home on the same street and a fire at an address that he previously lived in Islington, north London. The court heard a Russian paid them to do it.

Court 5 at 10am trial in the case of six Kurdish men, who  have pleaded not guilty to membership of the proscribed group, the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, also known as the PKK, between March 1 2011 and November 27 2024.

Court 5 at 10.15am Plea and trial preparation in the case of a Ellis Anim-Annor accused in relation to the murder of Lorik Abazi,22, who was stabbed to death in Croydon, South London. Two others were stabbed in the same incident

Court 6 at 10am trial in the case of a 39 year old Turkish man, who allegedly shot Onur Guzel, 38, after accusing his family of paying money to a rival Turkish gang. The defendant is alleged to have plotted to kill the victim, who was attacked outside his father’s popular restaurant, Umut 2000, in Dalston, east London 

Court 10 at 10am trial of two men accused of murder. Ahmed Jama, 29, was stabbed to death in St. John’s Wood, London NW.

Court 11 at 10am trial of a 33 year old man accused of murder. Halyna Holson, 29,was stabbed to death in a residental address in Greewich, London SE after the defendant allegedly found her with another man

Court 13 at 10am trial of two brothers accusesd of murdering a man 41 years ago as he walked home. Anthony Littler, 45, died from ‘catastrophic’ head injuries after he was found in an alleyway near East Finchley Tube station in north London on May 1, 1984.

Court 14 at 10am Plea and trial preparation of a 25 year old man accused of murder. The victim, 24-year-old Suhayb Abdulkadir was stabbed to death in Leyton, East London

Court 14 at 10am Plea and trial preparation in the case of Yonus Girma and another in relation to the murder of Stephen Morrison, 30. He was found seriously injured on the forecourt of a Shell petrol station in Epping Road, Epping, Essex, at about 8pm on June 23, 2020. He died later in hospital from stab wounds.

Court 16 at 10am trial in the case of a man in relation to the killing of Tanesha Melbourne-Blake,17, who was out with friends when she was shot from a Vauxhall people carrier in Tottenham, North London on 2 April 2018
