CASES OF INTEREST AT THE OLD BAILEY ON FRIDAY

Court 1 at 12 noon Sentence of right wing activist Declan Candiani,who was convicted of two counts of collection of material likely to be of use to a terrorist under 58(1) of the Terrorism Act 2000. 

Court 3 at 2pm Plea and trial preparation in the case of Kitan Ojelade, who was charged in relation to a 17 year old boy being shot in Arnos Grove, North London. The victim survived.

Court 4 at 10am Case mangement in the case of Juan Joseph, a former government contractor, who worked in the intelligence community, is accused of making “damaging” disclosures under the Official Secrets Act.

Court 4 at 11.30am Preparatory hearing in the case of Roman Lavrynovych and two other Ukranians accused of arson on properties related to Sir Kier Starmer.  A vehicle fire in Kentish Town, north London, a fire at the prime minister’s private home on the same street and a fire at an address that he previously lived in Islington, north London.

Court 4 at 12 noon Preliminary hearing in the case of Oliver Rhea and two others accused of engaging in conduct in preparation of an act of terrorism, contrary to Section 5 of the Terrorism Act 2006.

Court 6 at 10am trial in the case of Elyas Moussa accused of stabbing to death Recorda Davey-Ann Clarke in Willesden Green, London NW, who was out with his girlfriend celebrating her birthday.

Court 7 at 11.30am Mention in the case of Ercan Akbal and five other Kurds, who have denied being part of a banned Kurdish separatist group over a period of 23 years

Court 8 at 10am trial of Leandro Kaienga, 28, and another who are accused of murdering Okechukwu Iweha, 46, just before 6am on 7 April. The victim was stabbed in Northumberland Park, North London.

Court 11 at 10am trial of Joshua Michals accused of the murder of 31 year old, student Zhe Wang, who was stabbed to death in an East London property.

Court 12 at 10am trial of Renaldo Roberts and four others in relation to the murder of Jason Romeo,20, who was stabbed to death in East London

Court 15 at 10am Sentence of Peter Augustine who was found guilty of murdering a pensioner during a robbery. John Mackey, 87, was fatally kicked, punched and stamped on before Augustine took off with a box of cornflakes and a cottage pie.
