CASES OF INTEREST AT THE OLD BAILEY WEDNESDAY

Court 2 at 11am Mention in the case of Harry Gittins accused of the murder of a homeless man. Anthony Marks, 51, was assaulted in the early hours of 10 August in a bin shed near King’s Cross St Pancras station. He died on 25 September 2024.

Court 5 at 10am trial of Jan Mercan, 22 (7.08.01) and another in relation to the murder of 33-year-old Talip Guzel. The victim was shot dead in Tottenham, north London

Court 7 at 10am trial of Ahmed Khaleel and two others in relation to the murder of 34-year-old Nash Clyne in Acton, West London. At least three other people were injured during the incident in which possible shots were heard.

Court 8 Day off trial of Daniel Parmenter, who was arrested after an alleged ‘bomb hoax’ sent the United States Embassy in London into lockdown 

Court 12 at 10am trial of Renaldo Roberts and four others in relation to the murder of Jason Romeo,20, who was stabbed to death in East London

Court 13 Not sitting trial of Dante Forrest accused of the murder of 40-year-old Marvin Dickson. The victim died of “blunt force trauma” and his body was left in the bath of his Wood Green, North London home.

Court 14 at 10am New trial of former Metropolitan police officer PC David Carrick, from Stevenage, Hertfordshire, who has been accused of two counts of rape, one count of sexual assault and a count of coercive and controlling behaviour against a woman between 2014 and 2019. He has also been charged with five counts of indecent assault on a girl under 14 in Salisbury, Wiltshire, between 1989 and 1990, when he was a teenager.

Court 15 at 10am trial of Jazz Reid accused of attempted murder and wounding with intent. Reid allegedly fired 11 shots, hitting an eight year old girl twice and her 34-year-old father five times as they sat with other family members in a car in Ladbroke Grove, north-west London, on 24 November 2024.

Court 15 at 10am trial in the case of Peter Augustine accused of murder. John Mackey,87 died after being attacked on a Manor House, north London street for the sake of his groceries, the court was told.
