Cases of interest at the Old Bailey on Wednesday
Court 1 at 10am Mention in the case of Simon Levy accused of a violent sex attack on one woman, seven months before the alleged murder of a 39-year-old. He is s charged with murdering Sheryl Wilkins and grievous bodily harm with intent, non-fatal strangulation and two counts of rape against a second woman. Both attacks took place in North London.
Court 1 at 11am Mention in the case of Andre Wright-Walters accused of murder. Pensioner James Gbadamosi,67, was assaulted in Balham High Road in South London and died later in hospital.
Court 5 at 10am trial of of Sundjata Keita and another accused of murder. Ahmed Deen-Jah died after being stabbed in east London in 2017.
Court 6 at 10am trial of couple Nazil Merthoca and Herbert Kalanzi accused of the murder of their three month old daughter. Kaylani Kalanzi died from a head injury alleged to be consistent with “shaking or impact”.
Court 6 at 10.30am Plea and trial preparation in the case of Russian sea captian Vladimir Motin. His container ship crashed into a US oil tanker in the North Sea and he is charged with manslaughter on the grounds of gross negligence. Crew member Mark Angelo Pernia, 38, died in the collision off the East Yorkshire coast.
Court 7 at 10am trial of of Awad Abdel Samed and another accused of murder. The victim, 19-year-old Mohammed Adam Abdi was stabbed to death in Westminster, central London
Court 10 at 10am trial of Joshua Eno accused of murder. The victim, 21-year-old Rico Andrews was shot in the chest in Battersea, South West London.
Court 13 at 10am trial of O’Quaine Simpson, 19, who is accused of the attempted murder of an 18-year-old student and possession of a knife outside Shooters Hill Sixth Form College in London SE. The victim was stabbed.
Court 14 at 10am trial of Romario Gordon in relation to the murder of 16 year old Cameron Smith,16. The teenage victim was stabbed to death in his bedroom in Croydon, South London after a group of youth brandishing zombie knives smashed their way into his home.
Court 16 at 12 noon trial of teenage girl, Mia Campos-Jorge, 18, and three others who are charged with murder. The victim 51-year-old Anthony Marks, was assaulted in Camden, North London
