Cases of interest at the Old Bailey on Wednesday

Court 2 at 10am Case management in the case of Shanoor Ahmed and four others accused of murder.  Joshua McLean, 31, was fatally shot in Tower Hamlets, East London

Court 5 at 10am trial in the case of Bamidele Fawehinmi and two others accused of assaulting and killing a man, whose body was found in a Hackney, East London house.

Court 6 at 10am trial of Constance Marten and Mark Gordon. The pair are charged with the manslaughter of their newborn baby daughter Victoria whose remains were found in a Lidl “bag for life” in a Brighton allotment shed.

Court 8 at 10am trial of Khuedr Al Kurdi and seven others in relation to the murder of 22 year old Janayo Lucima, who was shot dead on his doorstep in West Kensington, London in a “planned execution,” the court heard.

Court 9 at 9.45am trial of hospital worker Benjamin Aninakwa and an NHS trust who have both denied causing the death of a 22-year-old mental health patient after she allegedly gained access to items used in 18 earlier attempts to take her own life. Alice Figueiredo died at Goodmayes Hospital, north-east London, in 2015.

Court 11 at 10am trial in the case of Errol Woodger accused of murder. Marc Allen, 51, died in hospital on 29 January 2020, almost a month after he was run over by his own car during an incident in December 2019 in in Erith, London SE.

Court 12 at 10am trial of Shakeil Thibou accused of the murder of Cher Maximen, 32, who was stabbed in the groin with a zombie knife in front of her three year old daughter at the Notting Hill Carnival. She got mixed up in a fight with three men. Thibou’s brothers, Sheldon, 25 and Shaeim, 22, are also on trial charged with assaulting an emergency worker and violent
