Cases of interest at the Old Bailey on Thursday

Court 2 at 9.30am Mention in the case of Hasaan Arshad, a former employee of a “sensitive government organization” who is facing charges for allegedly endangering national security by taking confidential information home.

Court 2 at 10.30am Sentence of Christopher Wilson, who was found guilty of murder. The victim, 18-year-old Kacem Mokrane, was stabbed in the stomach in Walthamstow, east London. It was part of an ongoing feud between two gangs.

Court 2 at 2pm Sentence of PC Ian Brotherton, who admitted causing death by careless driving. The officer was driving a marked police van responding to an emergency call when he collided with a moped being ridden by 26-year-old Cristopher de Carvalho Guedes in Enfield, North London on 12 October 2023.

Court 5 at 10am trial of Nathan Tokosi and another accused of attempted murder after a man in his 20’s was shot in West London

Court 6 at 10am Sentence of get away driver Ben Laing and Duarra Abdi, who were both found guilty of murder. The victim, 24-year-old Tyreece Scott was stabbed in the street by Abdi in Hounslow, west London. Drug dealing was the background to the murder, the court heard

Court 7 Not sitting trial of four suspected Russian spies. Bulgarian nationals, Ivan Stoyanov, Vanya Gaberova, Tihomir Ivanchev and Katrin Ivanova were arrested under the Official Secrets Act and are said to have been working for a Russian agent.

Court 8 at 10am trial of Khuedr Al Kurdi and seven others in relation to the murder of 22 year old Janayo Lucima, who was shot dead in West Kensington, London

Court 9 at 10am trial of hospital worker Benjamin Aninakwa and an NHS trust who have both denied causing the death of a 22-year-old mental health patient after she allegedly gained access to items used in 18 earlier attempts to take her own life. Alice Figueiredo died at Goodmayes Hospital, north-east London, in 2015.

Court 10 at 10am trial of Tron McEntee and two others accused of murder after a man was stabbed to death in an Ealing, West London pub.

Court 10 at 10am Plea and trial preparation in the case of Nicholi Clyne and others in relation to the murder of 34-year-old Nash Clyne in Acton, West London. At least three other people were injured during the incident in which possible shots were heard.

Court 11 at 10am trial in the case of Tyler Roberts-Emmanuel accused of murder. Shaquille Graham, 30, was gunned down in Catford Broadway, London SE.

Court 14 at 10am trial of Kyle Kitchen accused of murdering his own daughter. Kitchen, 36, from Camden, north London allegedly injured Primrose Kane when she was a baby on November 3, 2014. Primrose later died at the age of six, allegedly as a result of her father’s actions, on May 17, 2021.

Court 15 at 10am trial in the case of brothers Louis and Stewart Ahearne and Daniel Kelly in relation to the conspiracy to murder of cage fighter Paul Allen,45. The victim was left with life changing injuries after being shot in East London in 2019.
