Cases of interest at the Old Bailey on Wednesday

Court 5 at 10am New trial of Jaden Sheriff accused of murder. His alleged victim,  37-year-old Robert Weston, was stabbed to death in Harrow, West London

Court 6 at 10am trial of Ozdemir Zia, a 75 year old bus driver accused of causing death by dangerous driving following a bus crash which killed 83-year-old Edna MCcLean.

Court 7 at 10am trial of four suspected Russian spies. Bulgarian nationals, Ivan Stoyanov, Vanya Gaberova, Tihomir Ivanchev and Katrin Ivanova were arrested under the Official Secrets Act and are said to have been working for a Russian agent.

Court 9 at 10am trial of hospital worker Benjamin Aninakwa and an NHS trust who have both denied causing the death of a 22-year-old mental health patient after she allegedly gained access to items used in 18 earlier attempts to take her own life. Alice Figueiredo died at Goodmayes Hospital, north-east London, in 2015.

Court 10 at 10.30m Mention of bus driver Aston Hopwood accused of causing the death of one of his passengers by moving off as the man tried to board the vehicle. Steven Mitchell, 60, died after the accident in Peckham, London SE.

Court 12 at 9.45am Application in the case of Irishman Peter Keating. He admitted his part in a plot to amass an arms cache to help the UK boss of the Irish Kinahan organised crime gang

Court 13 at 10am trial of Daniel Matos and two others accused of murder. Tyler Donnelly,19, was stabbed to death in Feltham, West London

Court 14 at 10am trial in the case of Khalid Khan,49, and others accused of murder. The victim 57 year old Khurram Butt was stabbed to death in Uxbridge, London NW

Court 15 at 10am trial in the case of Aklakur Rahman, charged with 15 offences. The offences include the attempted murder of five prison officers, two at HMP Swaleside and three at Belmarsh prison, between September and October 2022. 

Court 16 at 10.15am New trial of David Walcott and another accused of murder. Rijkaard Salu Siafa,22, was stabbed to death in Croydon, South London
