Court 1 at 10am trial of Christopher Wilson accused of murder. The victim, 18-year-old Kacem Mokrane, was stabbed in the stomach in Walthamstow, east London.
Court 3 at 10am trial of Vittorio Di Murro with the murder of Jordan Briscoe after being extradited to the UK from Italy. Briscoe was stabbed to death in North London
Court 5 at 10am Jury deliberating in the trial of three family members accused of the murder of 10 year old Sara Sharif, whose body was discovered at her home in Woking, Surrey. The child’s father, Urfan Sharif, 42, stepmother, Beinash Batool, 30, and uncle, Faisal Malik, 28, are accused of murder and to causing or allowing the death of a child between December 16 2022 and August 9 2023. The father admitted punishing her for being”naughty” after fleeing to Pakistan. Sara’s body was found with dozens of injuries, and she had been hooded, burned and beaten during more than two years of abuse.
Court 6 at 10.30am trial of Dzhamilya Timaeva, 19, who gained a place at an Islamic Sunday school in order to teach her “extremist” beliefs to young children, the court heard. She saw it as a “duty” of her Islamic faith to “wage war against non-believers”, it is alleged.
Court 7 at 10am trial of three suspected Russian spies. Bulgarian nationals, Ivan Stoyanov, Vanya Gaberova and Katrin Ivanova were arrested under the Official Secrets Act and are said to have been working for a Russian agent.
Court 8 at 10am Mention in the case of Gabriel Charles accused of murder. The victim Jesse Lloyd-Smith,20 was with others when a gunman opened fire five times in Peckham, London SE on July 10.The bullets hit the victim’s head and arms causing unsurvivable injuries from which he died the next day.
Court 9 at 10.30am trial of hospital worker Benjamin Aninakwa and an NHS trust who have both denied causing the death of a 22-year-old mental health patient after she allegedly gained access to items used in 18 earlier attempts to take her own life. Alice Figueiredo died at Goodmayes Hospital, north-east London, in 2015.

Court 12 at 10am trial of Saqib Khan and two others accused in relation to the murder of 26-year-old Anselam Senaj, who was stabbed to death inside a car in East London.
Court 13 at 10am trial of John Budal and two others accused of murder. Michael Patrick Afonso Peixoto, 27, was stabbed to death on 19 December in Croydon, South London in what was described as a “premeditated attack”
Court 13 at 2pm Sentence of crime boss Petko Zhutev and six others. Colombian cocaine with a street value of £200 million was intercepted in 2021 in a consignment of bananas – making it the UK’s largest haul of the drugs at the time.
Court 14 at 10am trial of Dajour Jones accused of the murder of 20-year-old Jamie Gilbey, who disappeared. His body was found in South Norwood, South London
Court 15 at 10.30am Sentence of Edgarus Motiejunas,24, who admitted manslaughter. CCTV footage showed pensioner, Evaldas Simanaitis,68, had been shouting at two men breaking into cars in Leytonstone, East London and had been struck in the face by one of them. He died ten days later.
