Cases of interest at the Old Bailey on Monday

Court 5 at 10am trial of three family members accused of the murder of 10 year old Sara Sharif, whose body was discovered at her home in Woking, Surrey. The child’s father, Urfan Sharif, 42, stepmother, Beinash Batool, 30, and uncle, Faisal Malik, 28, are accused of murder and to causing or allowing the death of a child between December 16 2022 and August 9 2023. The father admitted punishing her for being”naughty” after fleeing to Pakistan. She suffered a catalogue of appalling injuries including broken bones, bites, and iron burns.

Court 7 Not sitting trial of Elijah Seriki and two other youths accused of attempted murder after a 23 year old man was stabbed in London Fields, East London.

Court 9 at 10am trial of hospital worker Benjamin Aninakwa and an NHS trust who have both denied causing the death of a 22-year-old mental health patient after she allegedly gained access to items used in 18 earlier attempts to take her own life. Alice Figueiredo died at Goodmayes Hospital, north-east London, in 2015.

Court 10 at 10.30am trial in the case of in the case of Kofi Nyanor and two others accused drugs and conspiracy to commit violence offences.

Court 11 at 10.30am trial of Tyreece Riggon and another in relation to the murder of Lavaun Witter,22, who was stabbed to death in Croydon, south London

Court 11 at 2.45pm Plea and trial preparation in the case of Shamiah McKenzie,18, and another teenager accused of murder. Abdul Jalloh, 23, was stabbed to death in Tower Hamlets, East London

Court 12 at 10am trial of Saqib Khan and others accused in relation to the murder of 26-year-old Anselam Senaj, who was stabbed to death inside a car in East London.

Court 13 Not sitting trial in the case of Tyrese Osei-Kofi, 24, over the death of Jamel Boyce, who was stabbed outside a Sainsbury’s in Clapham, south London, in October 2016. The victim died six years after the attack from a heart attack and brain damage.

Court 14 at 2pm Case management in the case of Javier Rodriguez-McDonald accused of murder. Sebastiaan James-Kraan,20, died in hospital three days after being shot in Templeman Road in Hanwell, Ealing, West London

Court 14 at 10.30am trial of Dajour Jones accused of the murder of 20-year-old Jamie Gilbey, who disappeared. His body was found in South Norwood, South London

Court 15 at 10am Plea and trial preparation in the case of Devonta Rose and two others accused of murder. The victim, Taha Errami,22, suffered a broken ankle during an alleged robbery in London’s West End. Seven weeks later he died of a deep vein thrombosis.
