Cases of interest at the Old Bailey on Monday
Court 1 at 10am trial of Patrick Ruane, an alleged anti-vax conspiracy theorist, who is said to have issued a rallying call on Telegram for a “kill squad” to shoot people involved in the Covid-19 vaccine rollout and burn “Big Pharma” to the ground.
Court 2 at 9.30am Mention in the case of Adejuwon Oyekan accused of murder. Jason Thompson, 54, from Hayes, was found with a stab wound to his neck.
Court 3 at 10am trial of Ross Hamilton accused of murder. Reece Newcombe, 31, who trained celebrities including former footballer Ian Wright for a charity boxing match in 2014, died after he was stabbed in the neck with a piece of glass on Richmond Bridge, southwest London.
Court 5 at 10am trial of a 17 year old, who cannot be named as he is aged under 18, accused of murder. The victim 16 year old Harry Pitman was stabbed to death after accidentally bumping into a stranger. The teenager on trial allegedly claims the killing was an accident and he was acting in self defence.
Court 6 at 10am trial of Deveca Rose charged with four counts of manslaughter after her two sets of twin sons were killed in a fire in Sutton, south London in 2021. Kyson and Bryson Hoath, aged four, and Leyton and Logan Hoath, aged three, all died in the blaze.
Court 7 at 10am trial of Elijah Seriki and two other youths accused of attempted murder after a 23 year old man was stabbed in London Fields, East London.
Court 10 at 10am trial of Kyiza Sandiford, 23, and two others charged with in relation to 22 year old Keelen Morris Wong’s murder. The victim was stabbed to death in South London.
Court 10 at 2pm Mention of Petko Zhutev and four others, who were arrested after authorities siezed 200 million pounds worth of Cocaine at Portsmouth, which had arrived from Columbia. Over two tonnes of the drug was found hidden in banana boxes.
Court 11 at 10am trial in the case of serving prisoner Thomas Kavanagh, Irishman, Liam Byrne and two others. Kavanagh is accused of organising firearms to be dumped and their location leaked to the police to engineer a reduced sentence.
Court 12 at 10am trial of Christian Braimah and three others accused of murder. Naython Muir, 43, was stabbed to death In Hounslow, London NW.
Court 13 at 10am Pre-trial review in the case of brothers Louis and Stewart Ahearne and Daniel Kelly in relation to the conspiracy to murder of cage fighter Paul Allen,45. The victim was left with life changing injuries after being shot in East London in 2019.
Court 14 at 10am trial of Joshua Eno and another accused of murder. The victim, 21-year-old Rico Andrews weas shot in the chest in Battersea.
Court 15 at 10am trial of Kadeem Brightley-Barnes in relation to the murder of Kacey Boothe,25, who was shot dead in Walthamstow, East London.
Court 16 at 10am trial of Romario Gordon in relation to the murder of 16 year old Cameron Smith,16. The teenage victim was stabbed to death in his bedroom in Croydon, South London after a group of youth brandishing zombie knives smashed their way into his home.
Court 18 at 2pm Mention of Ben Laing and another accused of murder. Tyreece Scott,24, was stabbed to death in Hounslow, London NW
