Court 1 at 2pm Sentence in the case of lorry driver Caolan Gormley in connection with the death of 39 Vietnamese migrants. The bodies of the Vietnamese nationals were discovered at an industrial estate in Grays shortly after the container arrived on a ferry from Belgium in the early hours of October 23 2019.
Court 3 at 2pm Sentence of Solicitor William Osmond. He disclosed confidential details about an investigation and forged a legal document in an attempt to mislead investigators. Osmond, co-founder of a London-based commercial and property law firm Osmond & Osmond Solicitors Ltd, is the first ever solicitor the Serious Fraud Office has prosecuted with “tipping off” a client.
Court 5 at 10am trial in the case of Jaden Forde and another accused of murder. The victim, 19-year-old Ahmed Beker was stabbed to death in Paddington Green, West London.
Court 6 at 10am trial in the case of Ka’mani Brightley-Donaldson and five others charged in connection with the death of Kacey Boothe,25, who suffered gun shot wounds to his neck and chest.
Court 7 at 10am trial in the case of two women, Vanessa Atim, 31, and Stella Oyella, 53, who are charged with funding terrorism. Their fundraising is said to relate specifically to Islamist terrorism in Syria in that they were sending money to a relative, who was fighting there.
Court 8 at 10am trial of Ayaanie Adan and others accused in relation to a double murder. The charges relate to the deaths of Saydi Abu Sheikh, 23, and Zakariya Jeilani Mohamed, 32, who were both shot dead in a house in Ilford, East London
Court 10 at 10am trial of Mathew Yusuff and two other accused of murder. Adrian Keise,32, was stabbed to death in Lambeth, London SE
Court 12 at 10am trial in the case of Theo Simon and others accused of murder. Givani Espuet, 21, was stabbed to death during a mass brawl outside a restaurant in Sudbury, West London
Court 13 at 10am trial of Ashana Studholme and two others accused of murder. Shakira Spencer,35, was starved, tortured and battered to death in her flat in Ealing, west London, where her decomposed body was found by a neighbour, who noticed maggots crawling from the flat.
Court 14 at 9.45am Mention in the case of Hanna Bennis, 21, who was charged with the murder of her 58-year-old mother, dinner lady Aziza Bennis in Ealing, west London. The victim was stabbed more than 30 times
