Cases of interest at the Old Bailey on Wednesday

Court 1 at 10am Mention in the case of Carl Cooper,65, charged with the murder of two women, Naomi Hunter, 41,   who was stabbed to death on Valentine’s Day last year  in Woolwich, London SE and 48-year-old Fiona Holm, who went missing June.

Court 1 at 11am Plea and trial preparation in the case of Denzel Kwateng and others accused of the murder of 17-year-old Denardo Samuels-Brooks, who was stabbed to death in Streatham, South London.

Court 2 at 10am trial in the case of Petko Zhutev who was arrested in a police operation that netted up to 184 million pounds worth of cocaine. 

Court 6 at 10am trial of Jamal Grant and two others accused of stabbing to death 25-year-old Devon Jensen-Wallace in Brent, West London

Counrt 7 at 9.30am Case management in the case of Donovan Kenlyn accused pushing a random member of the public onto the underground train tracks as well attacking two other Tube passengers at West Hampstead and Baker Street stations on October 27. The man on the tracks was saved by two brave members of the public, who pulled him to safety at Finchley Road tube station.

Court 7 at 10am Mention the case of Ismail Kissa, who was charged with 13 counts of dissemination of a terrorist publication – under Section 2 of the Terrorism Act 2006 – and one count of possessing a document containing information likely to be useful for terrorism – under Section 58 of the Terrorism Act 2000.

Court 7 at 2pm trial of Agash Jeyanandam and two others accused of murder. The victim, Abdul Rahman, 59, is believed to have died after being subjected to a violent assault.

Court 8 at 10am trial of Tyreece Riggon and others, accused of the murder of Lavaun Witter,22, was stabbed to death in Croydon, south London.

Court 12 at 10am trial of Joshua Broddle and others in relation to the discovery of two explosive devices in Greys Inn, in the heart of London’s legal quarter. 

Court 15 at 10am trial of Abdul Yaro and three others accused of murder. Shea Gordon, 17, was stabbed repeatedly in the street in Mile End, east London, outside an 18th birthday party.

Court 16 at 10am trial in the case of Javid Ahmadzai, who is charged with killing Moosakhan Naseri, 20, who was knifed in the chest as he sat in an East London park in 2017. Mr Naseri had been in London for two years after fleeing Afghanistan when his family were shot dead as they slept by Taliban. His father was in the Afghan army
