Court 1 at 9.45am Plea and trial preparation in the case of Mark Gordon and Constance Marten charged with manslaughter, concealing the birth of a child and perverting the course of justice. A huge search was sparked when Constance was known to have given birth but no baby was with them. The baby’s body was found in woodland near Brighton.
Court 3 at 10am Pre-trial review in the case of Jack Forde accused of murdering a 74 year old pensioner in New Cross, London SE.
Court 3 at 10.30am Case management in the case of Michael Ematuwo and other alleged drug dealers accused of plotting to murder a rival. They were arrested after police decoded conversations on an encrypted military-grade chat room
Court 4 at 10am Mention in the case of Chelsea Grant and another accused of the murder of 71 year old Susan Hawkey in North West London. The couple are also charged with fraud after going on a 14,000 pounds spending spree, using the victim’s bank cards. The victim’s body was found in a heavily decomposed state bound with brown parcel tape on the face and wrists.
Court 4 at 10.30am Plea and trial preparation in the case of Rajinder Pall, 44, who is accused of strangling John Hallisey,60, at a facility for adults with mental health and drug abuse issues in Lansbury Drive, Hayes, West London. The pair were both inmates. Pall denies murder.
Court 4 at 11am Mention in the case of fruit and veg trader, Melih Ince, accused of hiding 600kg of cannabis in a cargo of broccoli
Court 5 at 10am trial of Tariq Monteiro, 21, and another who allegedly fled the country after 16-year-old Alex Smith was fatally stabbed in 2019 in Camden. The defendants were arrested in Kenya’s capital Nairobi before being brought back to the UK to be charged.
Court 6 at 10am Mention in the case of Erik Feld accused of murder. Ranjith Kankanamalage,53, was found in a cemetery with catastrophic head injuries in the early hours.
Court 7 at 10am trial of Bulent Bakir and others accused of the murder of 30-year-old Olsi Kuka. The victim was stabbed to death in a flat in Barnet, north London.
Court 10 at 10.30am Preliminary hearing in the case of William Howitt charged with engaging in conduct in preparation for terrorism, under Section 5 of the Terrorism Act 2006.
Court 10 at 11am Preliminary hearing in the case of Joshua Bowles who allegedly tried to murder a woman who he thought worked at GCHQ because she represented “the state”. He allegedly launched the attack on the woman as she left a leisure centre in Cheltenham, three miles from the UK intelligence agency’s base.
Court 10 at 2pm Preliminary hearing in the case of Mohammed Abbkr accused of two counts of attempted murder. Abbkr is alleged to have sprayed a substance on two men and set it alight in separate incidents in Ealing and Birmingham on 27 February and 20 March. Both men were attacked after leaving a mosque.
Court 10 at 2.15pm Sentence of teenager Oliver Riley accused of of uploading ‘white supremacist’ videos to the internet faces five allegations – including possession of a ‘document likely to be useful to a person preparing an act of terrorism’ and sending a grossly offensive message.
Court 11 at 2pm Plea and trial preparation in the case of Maher Maaroufe accused of murdering student Sabita Thanwani,19. The victim was attacked in her university digs. A post-mortem examination confirmed the cause of death as sharp force trauma to the neck.
Court 12 at 10am trial of Shadab Abdul-Karim and others accused of murder. Kacem Mokrane, 18 was stabbed in the stomach in Mount Pleasant Road, Walthamstow on Thursday, November 16 2017 and died four days later.
Court 13 at 10am trial in the case of Dwaine Harris and another accused of GBH. Reece Young, 23, was stabbed in Croydon in March 2021.
Court 14 at 10am trial in the case of Suvenca Martis and another, who are charged with murdering Richard Obi, 25, whose body was found by his sister after she received a mystery call and was directed to the scene. The victim’s mother was tied up with duct tape close to the body of her son. Obi had been stabbed nine times.
Court 16 at 10am trial of Quincy French and four others accused of murder. Emmanuel Odunlami, 32, from Romford, East London was stabbed to death while out celebrating his birthday at a restaurant in the City of London. It is alleged he was targeted because of his valuable watch. But the watch turned out to be a fake version of a 300,000 pounds timepiece.
