CASES OF INTEREST AT THE OLD BAILEY ON FRIDAY
Court 1 at 10am trial in the case of Kaine Gilead accused of murder. The victim 25-year-old Ramane Wiggan, was shot dead in Lambeth, South London.
Court 2 at 10.45am trial of Lea Peacock accused of murdering his girlfriend and her male friend at different central London locations, hours apart. Sharon Pickles,45 and Clinton Ashmore,59, both had their throats cut.
Court 3 at 2pm Pre-trial review in the case of Siyad Mohamud, 23, and Tariq Monteiro, 21, who allegedly fled the country after 16-year-old Alex Smith was fatally stabbed in 2019 in Camden. The defendants were arrested in Kenya’s capital Nairobi before being brought back to the UK to be charged.
Court 4 at 11am Mention in the case of Jack Forde accused of murdering a 74 year old pensioner in New Cross, London SE.
Court 5 at 10am trial in the case of Sean Maurice,29, accused of murdering his father. Paul Maurice, 51, was found with multiple stab wounds to his chest atr a house in Bromley, London SE.
Court 6 at 10am Plea and trial preparation in the case of Matthew King,18, from Essex, charged with preparation of terrorist acts
Court 6 at 10am trial in the case of Mohamed El Abboud, 26 and Kusai Al-jundi, 23 who have both been charged with the murder of Louise Kam,71. The pensioner was last seen by a family member near the Spires Shopping Centre in Barnet, Herts at around 12.30hrs on Monday, 26 July. Her body was found at an address in Harrow, Middlesex on Sunday, 1 August.
Court 6 at 10.30am trial in the case of Jarrad Spence-Robinson, 24, also known as O’Field, is accused of killing Seun McMillan on 2 May 2017. Mr McMillan, 23, was attacked in Enfield, north London, as he walked towards his house with friends. He was stabbed once in the chest.
Court 7 at 10am trial in the case of Steven Allan who denies the murder of millionaire banker Paul Mason,52. Allan knocked Mason to the ground with an uppercut punch, believing he had stolen his friends phone. Mason, the CEO for Qatar National Bank, died six months later from brain injuries. Allan admits manslaughter.
Court 8 at 9.30am Plea and trial preparation in the case of Ramazan Mukalazi accused of rape and attempted murder after a woman in her 60s was found seriously injured in Hounslow, London NW
Court 8 at 10am trial in the case of Ali Ceesay, 28, charged with murder, two counts of attempted murder and possession of a prohibited weapon. It is alleged Mr Ceesay fatally shot Mr Mohamud, who died at the scene, in North London on September 21. Two other men, aged in their 20s and 30s, also suffered gunshot injuries and were treated in hospital before being discharged.
Court 11 Not sitting trial in the case of Kieran McHugh and another accused of murder. Abdi Khadar Adan,32, died in hospital after he was stabbed in East London at around 4.30pm on Sunday August 22.
Court 11 at 2pm sentence of Kyi-reece Sylvester, who was found guilty of the murder of a 16-year-old boy during a gang robbery in Haringey, London. The jury at the Old Bailey heard how 16-year-old Stelios Averkiou was stabbed in the leg when he stood up to the defendants, who were attempting to rob his group of friends as they were sitting on a bench. Leon Gruber will be sentenced for robbery.
Court 14 at 10am trial of university lecturer Ying Zhang, 55, accused of stabbing to death his estranged wife, Hannan Xiao, 52,outside a parents evening at their child’s North London school
Court 16 at 10am trial in the case of Deekan Vig accused of murdering his 86 year old father. The pensioner died of a head wound.
Court 16 at 2pm Pre inquest into the death of Sabina Rizvi,25, who was shot dead in 2003 after she left a police station in Bexleyheath, London SE with her boyfriend. Gang member Paul Asbury,22, was found guilty of her murder.
