Cases of interest at the Old Bailey on Friday

Court 2 at 9.30am Pre-trial review in the case of pensioner Edward Turpin, 89, accused of attempting to murder his 89 year old wife, Joan. The victim was stabbed.

Court 2 at 10am Mention  in the case of Jason Bell accused of stabbing to death his girlfriend Nicole Hurley, 37.

Court 4 at 9am Preliminary hearing in the case of teenager Vaughn Dolphin,19, accused of explosives and terrorism offences.

Court 5 at 10am Mention in the case of Dario Barnaby and two others accused of conspiracy to murder. They were arrested following an investigation into the covert messaging platform Encrochat, which revealed the reported murder plots planned in 2019.

Court 5 at 10.15am Pre-trial review in the case of James Peppiatt accused of the murder of Tony Eastlake. The victim was known to his customers in north London as the “flower man of Islington”. The 55-year-old florist was fatally stabbed close to his stall.

Court 5 at 2pm Mention in the case of Daryl Bethel, 19, charged following the death of Eltham schoolboy Tamim Ian Habimana,15, who was stabbed to death in Woolwich, London SE.

Court 6 at 2pm Mention in the case of professional footballer Benjamin Agyeman-Badu, 21, and Darren John, 22, accused of attempted to murder Henry Bardi in east London. Former Blackpool FC winger Agyeman-Badu is said to have been in possession of 1922 model Browning self-loading pistol.

Court 6 at 2pm Mention in the case of Nooha Sillah-Sillah charged with attempted murder, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life Sillah-Sillah is also accused of possession with intent to supply class A drugs, and possession of cannabis. The attempted murder relates to an incident in East London on March 9.

Court 8 at 10am trial in the case of  Leeban Farah and another accused of conspiracy to murder. Shortly after 3am on July 16 last year Billy McCullagh was found with a gunshot injury in his chest in North West London.

Court 9 at 10am trial in the case of Rayhan Ali and three others accused of murder. Abiola Akerele, who was aged 28, was stabbed in the heart in Newham, East London.

Court 10 at 10am trial of Vytautas Garmus,  charged with the murders of Lithuanian men Dainius Kulboka, 44 and Jonas Semenas, 45. The pair were stabbed to death in Goodmayes, Essex.

Court 11 at 10am trial in the case of Neculai Paizan accused of murder. Agnes Akom,20, went missing in May 2020. In June human remains were found in Neasden Recreation Park, near Cricklewood, London NW. Ms Akom, a Hungarian national, also known as “Dora” and had been living in the UK for three years.

Court 11 at 2pm Pre-trial review in the case of Reuel Briscoe and others accused of attempted murder after a 32 year old man was shot in Hackney, East London
