CASES OF INTEREST AT THE OLD BAILEY ON FRIDAY

Court 1 at 9.45am Sentence of Mohammed Humza accused of trying to buy grenades and Semtex explosive from an undercover FBI agent on the dark web.

Court 1 at 10.30am trial of James Watson, who is charged with murdering six year old Rikki Neave. Rikki’s naked body was in woodland a few minutes from his home in Welland, Peterborough, on November 29 1994. Watson would have been 13 at the time of the killing. He was arrested following a cold case review.

Court 4 at 10am Mention in the case of William Chinyanga, 50 of north London, charged with four counts of encouraging terrorism, contrary to section 1 of the Terrorism Act. The UK based MDC-Alliance activist was arrested by British police last year for encouraging people to burn down service stations and businesses in Harare, Zimbabwe, through posts on Facebook. He worked as a supply teacher in London.

Court 5 at 10am trial in the case of Jasmine Robinson accused of assisting an offender. The case relates to the death of Liam Dent, 25, who was dragged for half a mile under a car in Chessington, Surrey. Martin Eastwood is accused of murder.

Court 6 at 10.30am Sentence in the case of PC Daniel Francis. The police officer,who killed a charity worker when he sped through a zebra crossing while driving three times the speed limit. Francis, 33, was chasing after another car, from which a firework had been thrown, when he collided with Andrew Brown, 23, in Hounslow, West London.

Court 7 at 10am trial in the case of Kemar Brown and Phylesia Shirley. Themother, and her former boyfriend are accused of killing her two-year-old son The toddler suffered 39 fractures.

Court 9 at 10am trial in the case of Alfie Tullett and others accused of stabbing to death a 34 year old plumber in a Kent park.

Court 12 Not sitting trial in the case of David Adeyanju and others accused of murder. Minicab driver Gabriel Bringye, 37, was found collapsed inside a vehicle in Tottenham, north London suffering from stab wounds.

Court 13 at 10am trial in the case of Danny Harle accused of attempted murder following a shooting in Herne Hill, London 

Court 16 at 10am trial in the case of Alimul Islam and another accused of stabbing to death 23-year-old Alimuz Zaman in East London
