CASES OF INTEREST AT THE OLD BAILEY ON THURSDAY
Court 1 at 9.30am Preliminary hearing in the case of Sabbir Miah, a 28-year-old from east London, charged with “disseminating a terrorist publication”, which is banned under the 2006 Terrorist Act.
Court 1 at 10am Preliminary hearing in the case of Mason Yates, who has been charged with two counts of possession of a document/record likely to be useful to a person preparing or committing an act of terrorism.
Court 1 at 10.30am Preliminary hearing in the case of Luke Skelton who is charged with right-wing terror offences. He is alleged to have targeted police stations, drag queens and “Muslim rape gangs” in a plot to kill.
Court 1 at 10.15am Sentence in the case of Khuram Iqbal accused of terror charges. He allegedly made a “chilling” video of London’s Royal Festival Hall with the message “Attack, attack”
Court 9 at 10am Plea and trial preparation in the case of Nicolae Virtuso accused of killing Svetlana Mihalachi, 53, who was found with serious injuries at a house in Princes Road, Ilford, East London on 9 April.
Court 12 at 10am trial in the case of Leon Smith, 39, Warwick Burrows, 47, and others, who are said to have been part of a gang war waged against Turkish crime families in north London. They deny conspiracy to murder.
Court 13 at 10.15am Mention in the case of Matthew Henegan, who allegedly kept a terrorist weapons manual and handed out leaflets to ‘stir up racial hatred’.
Court 14 at 10.30am trial of Nicola Leighton and her son Tyreese Ulysses,19, accused of murdering Levi Ernest-Morrison,17, who was hacked to death in a machete attack in Sydenham, London SE.
Court 14 at 11.30am Plea and trial preparation in the case of Valentin Lazar accused of murder. Maria Jane Rawlings, 45, was found dead in bushes outside a school in Romford, East London, by a dog walker. She had been beaten and strangled.
