CASES OF INTEREST AT THE OLD BAILEY ON FRIDAY

Court 1 at 11am Mention in the case of Trevin Campbell accused of the murder of 32-year-old Gary Mayhew after he was fatally shot outside a Tesco Express in Brixton, South London

Court 5 at 2pm Sentence in the case of Steven Arnold and Barry Gavin. Arnold, allegedly stabbed to death his 61 year old uncle Michael Fletcher’s at his Luton flat to pay a debt. He forced his uncle to reveal the PIN number of his bank card at knifepoint. The victim suffered 47 knife wounds.  The debt was owed to 51-year-old Barry Gavin, who also denied murder.

Court 6 at 9.30am Mention in the case of Daniel Briceno Garcia accused of a double murder. Sonia Calvi, 56, and 59-year-old Edgar Daza were found with multiple stab wounds at a flat in Stockwell, south London.

Court 6 at 10am trial in the case of Taye Francis and another accused of being involved in the murder of a woman in a West Greenwich, London SE hotel. Khloemae Loy,23, was stabbed to death. 

Court 7 at 9.30am Mention  in the case of Matthew Hennegan, who allegedly kept a terrorist weapons manual and handed out leaflets to ‘stir up racial hatred’.

Court 8 at 12 noon trial in the case of Nanu Miah and four others accused of murder. Property manager Eron Miah,40, was found lying in a side road in Whitechapel, East London on November 19th with gunshot wounds to the head.

Court 9 at 12 noon Mention in the case of Anton Rhoden accused of attempted murder. He is accused of stabbing a man at a residential property in Woolwich Sand knifing a woman in nearby street.

Court 12 at 10am Plea and trial preparation in the case of Alex Davies, the co-founder of the British neo-Nazi group National Action, who is charged with remaining a member after the group was outlawed.

Court 12 at 10.30am Sentence in the case of Scott Porter, charged with making or possessing an explosive substance in suspicious circumstances, and three counts of possessing “terrorist-related material”.

Court 14 at 10.30am trial of Nicola Leighton and her son Tyreese Ulysses,19, accused of murdering Levi Ernest-Morrison,17, who was hacked to death in a machete attack in Sydenham, London SE
