CASES OF INTEREST AT THE OLD BAILEY ON FRIDAY.

Court 1 at 3pm Plea and trial preparation in the case of Asad Bhatti accused of terrorist offences. He is accused of possessing chemicals found in a storage unit that were capable of producing the explosive substance nitroglycerine. Three remote detonators, including an improvised detonator that contained traces of an explosive substance, were also allegedly found at his Redhill, Surrey home and in the storage unit.

Court 5 at 10am trial of alleged road rage killer Robert Barrow accused of running over a woman during a row over a minor crash. He is was charged with the murder of Tahereh Pirali-Dashti, 40, and assault of a 56-year-old man.

Court 5 at 10.30am Case management in the case of Leo Gray and others. They are accused of being part of a criminal empire after police cracked their coded conversations on Encrochat. Leo Gray, 28, and Rozanna Gray, 27, were charged with selling drugs and money laundering along with Casper Wilson St-James, 26.

Court 8 at 9.30am Mention in the case of Daryl Bethel, 19, who is the fifth person charged following the death of Eltham schoolboy Tamim Ian Habimana,15, on the evening on Monday, July 5. The teenager was stabbed to death in Woolwich, London SE.

Court 8 10am Case management in the case of Leeban Farah and another accused of conspiracy to murder. Shortly after 3am on July 16 last year Billy McCullagh was found with a gunshot injury in his chest in North West London.

Court 9 at 10am trial of Khalid Hogan and another accused of murder. Abdullahi Mahmoud, 29, was shot dead in Enfield, North London.

Court 12 at 9.30am Case management in the case of Nathaniel Reece and others accused of murdering Imani Allaway-Muir, 22, who was gunned down near a children’s playground in Westbourne Estate, Islington, north London, on July 4. 

Court 12 at 10.30am trial in the case of 18 year old Muhammad Jalloh and two others, who deny murder. David Gomoh, 24. an NHS worker, was stabbed to death outside his home in Newham, east London.

Court 14 at 10.30am Sentence of Kiziku Tuwizana and Besnik Berisha accused of a double murder. Two Eastern European men aged 30 and 35 years old were stabbed to death in Hertfordshire just before Xmas 2019.

Court 16 at 9.30am Mention in the case of Kai Kinyanjui,19, who was charged with murder three years after a fatal car crash. It relates to a collision on February 1 2018, when 26-year-old Monzir Mohammed was hit by a car on Twin Tumps Way in Thamesmead, Greenwich, south-east London. Kinyanjui is also accused of perverting the course of justice.

Court 16 at 10.15am Mention in the case of Evans Innocent, who was arrested after a series three of stabbings in London including a woman in her 40’s. He denies attempted murder and GBH.

Court 16 at 11.15am Application in the case of Suvenca Martis, who is charged with murdering Richard Obi, 25, whose body was found by his sister after she received a mystery call and was directed to the scene. The victim’s mother was tied up with duct tape close to the body of her son. Obi had been stabbed nine times.

Court 16 at 2pm Case management in the case of Bruno Kuci and two others who were arrested after cocaine worth 184 million pounds was found at Portsmouth port. This is one of the largest ever seizures in the UK
