CASES OF INTEREST AT THE OLD BAILEY ON FRIDAY.

Court 1 at 10.30am trial in the case of Daniel Burrell accused of murder. Barrington Davis,54, was knifed to death in Lewisham, London SE in May.

Court 5 at 9.30am Plea and trial preparation in the case of Cameron De-Riggs and three others, accused of shooting black equal rights activist, Sasha Johnson. Ms Johnson, a 27-year-old mother of two, remains in a critical condition after the attack at a house party in Peckham, south London, in the early hours.

Court 5 at 10.30am Case management  in the case of Reuel Briscoe and others charged with five counts of attempted murder and one count of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life. The case involves a drive by shooting in Hackney, East London

Court 5 Not sitting trial of Petra Deliu and Lonel-Octavian Stanciu accused of murder and attempted murder . They are alleged to have set fire to the makeshift home of two Romanian men next to the North Circular Road in Ilford, East London.

Court 8 at 10am Mention in the case of Danish pharmaceutical tycoon Jacob Sporon Feilder, who was jailed in November 2019. He is alleged to have imported 16 tonnes of performance-enhancing drugs worth £65 million into the UK from India with the help of a gang.

Court 8 at 10.30am trial in the case of Evans Innocent, who was arrested after a series three of stabbings in London including a woman in her 40’s. He denies attempted murder and GBH.

Court 9 at 10.30am Plea and trial preparation n the case of William Chinyanga, 50 of north London, charged with four counts of encouraging terrorism, contrary to section 1 of the Terrorism Act. The UK based MDC-Alliance activist was arrested by British police last year for encouraging people to burn down service stations and businesses in Harare, Zimbabwe, through posts on Facebook. He worked as a supply teacher in London

Court 9 at 11am Mention in the case of Munawar Hussain accused of stabbing two women in a Marks & Spencer store in Burnley. He was arrested by counter terrorist officers and denies two counts of attempted murder.

Court 9 Not sitting trial of Danyal Hussein accused of stabbing to death sisters Nicole Smallman, 27, and Bibaa Henry, 46, in Fryent Country Park in Wembley, north-west London, in the early hours of Saturday June 6 last year. It was allegedly a random attack.

Court 12 at 10.30am Sentence in the case of senior executive Leslie Winnister,68, accused of killing his wife, Suzanne at their £1.6m house in Bexley, London SE. The victim suffered severe head and neck injuries. The husband is named as a director of various subsidiaries of British Telecom based at the company’s London HQ.

Court 13 at 10am trial of Elton Sefa, who is accused of beating to death John Woodward, 47, a builder, whose body was found on a roof in Hatton Garden, central London.

Court 14 at 10am trial of Kiziku Tuwizana, Besnik Berisha and Bobby Rogers accused of a double murder. Two Eastern European men aged 30 and 35 years old were stabbed to death in Hertfordshire just before Xmas 2019.

Court 16 at 10.15am trial of Connor Gwynn-Bliss and five others including teenagers aged 16 and 17 accused of murder. Former England taekwondo star Amrou Greenidge, 18, was riding his bike through Fulham, south-west London when he was hit by a car and then attacked while on the ground. He died in hospital.

Court 16 at 3pm Sentence in the case of Edison Brahimi and another accused of murder. Grineo Daka, 27, was shot dead at the Phoenix Snooker Club in Leyton, east London, on July 7.
