CASES OF INTEREST AT THE OLD BAILEY ON FRIDAY

Court 1 at 2pm sentence of £90,000 a year finance consultant Clare Sanders and her partner who were accused of murdering their four week old baby. The tot suffered severe head injuries. The pair were cleared of murder but convicted of causing or allowing the death of their child.

Court 5 at 10.30am trial continues of William Clapperton, 58, accused of attempted murder. He is alleged to have tried to break his wife’s neck and attacked her with a meat cleaver because he believed she had been unfaithful.

Court 6 at 10.30am trial of Levi Paschal, who is accused of the murder of 39-year-old Lee Casey who was stabbed to death in south London. He also denies attempting to wound a second victim and conspiracy to rob.

Court 8 at 10.15am trial of Mohammed Choudhury accused of terrorist related trial of Mohammed Choudhury accused of terrorist related offences. He is alleged to have tried to buy a grenade from an undercover detective

Court 9 at 9.30am  Mention in the case of Alexander Macgregor, 50, who owned a corporate logistics company and was found guilty of conspiring to manufacture steroids. He was part of a gang that distributed £65 million worth of the drug.

Court 9 at 10am trial of Stephen O’Rourke accused of murder. Rocky Djelal, a 38 year old father, was stabbed to death in London SE.

Court 12 at 10am trial of Shaian Forde, 25, and others including two schoolboys aged 14 and 16, accused of murder. Santino Angelo Dymiter,18, was stabbed to death in East London.

Court 13 at 10am trial of Sam Parsa  accused of trying to set fire to a diplomatic car outside the Iranian embassy in London with a Molotov cocktail.

Court 14 at 2.45pm Case management in the case of Javarn Carter-Fraser and others, who are accused of murder. Chad Gordon, 27, was shot at close range after he answered his door in Haringey, north London last month.

Court 16 at 10.15am trial of HGV driver, Eamonn Harrison and three others in relation to a lorry in which 39 Vietnamese migrants died. Eight women and 31 men were found in the container in Purfleet, Essex, on 23 October last year. Police said they died from a lack of oxygen and overheating in an enclosed space
