CASES OF INTEREST AT THE OLD BAILEY ON WEDNESDAY

Court 5 at 9.30am Preliminary hearing in the case of two inmates at HMP Whitemore accused of attempting to murder a prison officer.

Court 5 10am Plea and trial preparation in the case of Liam Fenn accused of a string of terrorist offences.

  • Nine charges under Section 58(1)(b) TACT 2000, which relates to the possession of a document or record likely to be useful to a person preparing, or committing, an act of terrorism.
  • Three charges under Section 1 TACT 2006, which relates to the encouragement of acts of terrorism.

Court 5 at 10.45am Preliminary hearing in the case of former soldier Daniel Burke accused of plotting to join Kurdish forces in Syria fighting against ISIS

Court 5 at 11.15am Preliminary hearing in the case of Abid Khan accused of terrorist offences

Court 5 at 11.45am Preliminary hearing in the case of Andrew Rowe accused of terrorist offences.

Court 5 at 2pm Pre trial hearing in the case of lorry driver Maurice Robinson and four others including three Romanians.  The case concerns the deaths of 39 Vietnamese immigrants, who were found dead in the back of a lorry in Essex.

Court 6 at 12 noon Plea and trial preparation in the case of Shaik Rahman accused of attempted murder and dangerous driving after he crashed into a 16 year old motorcyclist.
