CASES OF INTEREST AT THE OLD BAILEY ON  MONDAY –

Court 2 at 10.30am trial continues of Hashem Abedi, who is the younger brother of the Manchester Arena bomber Salman Abedi,22. He denies multiple charges of murder and terrorism offences. Abedi’s brother detonated a suicide vest as music fans left an Ariana Grande concert, killing 22 people and injuring 260 more.

Court 5 at 10am trial of Obina Ezeoke accused of a double murder. He is alleged to have shot dead Annie Besala Ekofo, 53, and her nephew Bervil Kalikala-Ekofo,21 in East Finchley, London. It was a case of mistaken identity

Court 6  Not sitting trial of Bernard Rebello accused of manslaughter. He allegedly gave Eloise Parry, 21, a bulimic student from Shrewsbury eight slimming tablets containing dinitrophenol (DNP) in 2015. She died as a result.

Court 8 at 10am trial of Karlos Gracia and three others accused of murder. Kwasi Mensah-Ababio,26, was shot in the head in North West London.

Court 9 at 10am Jury deliberating in the case of Godwin Lunghy and Anuoluwa Temenu accused of taking part in a series of attacks which saw two men  stabbed to death nearly two years ago. Both 20-year-old Sadiq Mohamed and 18 year old Abdikarim Hassan were killed by the two defendants.

Court 9 at 11am  trial of £90,000 a year finance consultant Clare Sanders and her partner accused of murdering their four week old baby. The tot suffered severe head injuries.

Court 10 at 11am New trial of Jason Kakaire accused of five counts of attempted murder. The trial follows five stabbing in Edmonton, North London between March 30 and April 2 2019

Court 12 at 10am trial of Connor Gwynn-Bliss and five others including teenagers aged 16 and 17 accused of murder. Former England taekwondo star Amrou Greenidge, 18, was riding his bike through Fulham, south-west London when he was hit by a car and then attacked while on the ground. He died in hospital.

Court 13 at 10am trial of Levi Paschal, who is accused of the murder of 39-year-old Lee Casey who was stabbed to death in south London. He also denies attempting to wound a second victim and conspiracy to rob.

Court 14 at 10am Sentence of Ramani Boreland who was found guilty of manslaughter of Steven Narvaez-Jara, who was stabbed to death at a New year’s Eve party on 2018. Drill Rapper Unkown T, real name Daniel Lena was cleared of taking part in the attack.

Court 14 at 11am trial of cyclist Thomas Hanlon accused of running over and killing 56 year old Sakine Cihan on his electric bike in East London. She is thought to be the first person to die after being hit by an e-Bike. He denies causing death by dangerous driving.

Court 15 at 10am trial of Shemar Dawes accused of murder. Lord Promise Nkenda, 17, was walking along a pavement in Newham, east London, on Valentine’s Day 2018 when a BMW accelerated towards him. After being struck by the car he was followed into an alleyway where he was repeatedly stabbed in the head and chest by a number of youths.
