CASES OF INTEREST AT THE OLD BAILEY ON FRIDAY

Court 5 at 10am Jury deliberating in the trial of Fernando Pope and two others accused of murder. Cheyon Evans, 18,was stabbed through the heart after his attackers arrived on mopeds in London SW.

Court 5 at 10.30am Mention in the case of Aman Vyas, 35, who is accused of raping and killing Michelle Samaraweera,35, in Walthamstow, East London in 2009. He is also accused of 17 other offences against three women between March 24 and May 30 2009, which include attempted murder, seven counts of rape and assault.

Court 6 at 10am Preliminary hearing in case of Polish man Filip Bednarczyk, who was allegedly caught with bomb making materials on the eve of the general election. He denies terrorist offences.

Court 6 at 11am Preliminary hearing in case of Sohaib Embarek, who is charged with five counts of possessing material likely to be of use to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism. He was arrested in Bristol.

Court 6 at 11.30am Preliminary hearing in the case of alleged neo-Nazi, Andrew Dymock, who is accused of quoting Joseph Goebbels to call for “total war”. He is charged with 12 terror offences

Court 8 at 10am Pre-trial review in the case of Francis Appuagyei and three others accused of murder. David Bello-Monerville, 38, was stabbed to death in Barnet, Herts in June. His two brothers have already died in violent circumstances.

Court 8 at 11.45am Plea and trial preparation in the case of Alex Lanning and another accused of murder. Tashan Daniel, 20, was stabbed to death on the platform at Hillingdon Tube station on 24 September.

Court 9 at 10am Sentence of Sophie Thomson and Cardell Hyman, who admitted attacking two men armed with a Rambo knife and a taser gun.

Court 14 at 2pm Sentence of Samuel Jolumi and three other African men, who were put on trial for allegedly trying to hijack a container ship in the Thames estuary.

Court 16 Not sitting trial of Roger Jenkins and two other senior Barclays Bank executives accused of fraud. They allegedly lied to secure billions of pounds from Qatari investors and averted a taxpayer-funded bailout during the global financial crisis.
