CASES OF INTEREST AT THE OLD BAILEY ON THURSDAY

Court 1 at 10am  inquest continues into the deaths in the London Bridge and Borough Market terror attacks in which 11 people lost their lives and 48 were injured in 2017

Court 2 at 10am Jury expected to retire in the case of a 16-year-old boy and others accused of hunting down and ‘butchering’ 19-year-old Hasan Ozcan on February 3 last year. After one of the alleged gang was arrested, police found images ‘mocking’ the victim and lyrics of two rap songs saved on his mobile phone a few days after Mr Ozcan was stabbed to death.

Court 7 at 10am trial continues of John Letts and Sally Lane accused of sending money to their Muslim convert son after he allegedly joined Islamic State. It is alleged that they had reasonable cause to suspect the money would or might be used for terrorist purposes.

Court 10 at 9.30am Mention in the case of Charlie Dudley, who is charged with several members of one single family with murder. Jay Sewell, 18, was fatally stabbed in a mass brawl in Lee, southeast London, on the evening of 11 December 2017.

Court 10 at 10am trial continues of Desmond Sylva accused of murdering  nurse Simone Kerr,31, who was stabbed to death at her Battersea, London SW home. She appeared on Britain’s Got Talent and went through to the final with the NHS choir in 2018. She was stabbed over 70 times.

Court 11 at 10am  trial of  Nicola Green and three others accused of manslaughter after Sheiku Adams, 49, fell to his death from a third floor flat in Camden, North London

Court 14 at 10am trial continues of Gerald Matovu accused of murdering a business executive by poisoning him with the drug GHB. Eric Michels, who was found dead at his home in Chessington in London on 18 August. Mr Michels was also a part-time actor who made brief appearances in the Bond film Skyfall and the Tom Cruise movie Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit.

Court 15 at 10am trial continues of Syed Fahad and two others accused of murder. Abdulrahman Nassor Juma,23, was knifed to death in the street in Barking, East London

Court 16 at 10am  trial continues of Kye Kendall accused of conspiracy to murder. Memunatu Warne, 46, died in a house fire in Woolwich, south-east London, in the early hours of 6 September. A man in his 60s and a woman in her 50s escaped the fire by jumping out of a first-floor window. The court heard Warne was the innocent victim of  a drugs feud.
