CASES OF INTEREST AT THE OLD BAILEY ON FRIDAY

Court 1 at 9.30am Pre-trial review in the case of Labour MP Fiona Onasanya and her brother Festus accused of lying about who was behind the wheel of a speeding vehicle.

Court 5 at 10am trial continues of Dr Manish Shah, who is accused of sexually abusing  20 women, who attended his Romford, Essex surgery between June 2009 and July 2013. The youngest was aged 15. He is alleged to carried out unnecessary breast and vaginal examinations

Court 7 at 10am New trial of Duke Quainoo and two others accused of murder. Russell Jones,23, was first blasted with a shotgun and then stabbed in Enfield, North London

Court 8 at 9.30am Plea and trial preparation in the case of Ken Umezie accused of murdering drill music rappe Sidique Kamara known as Incongnito. The 23 year old was stabbed to death

Court 8 at 10am  trial continues of Jonathan Shay and five other teenagers, all under 18, accused of murdering 19 year old Lewis Blackman, who was stabbed 14 times after trying to gatecrash a party in Kensington, London SW. The prosecutor described the murder as “shocking” as the victim was repeatedly knifed as he lay defenceless on the ground.

Court 9 at 12 noon trial continues of Dr. Alan Tutin. The GP is accused of sexually abusing 25 patients, one aged nine, over two decades from 1981 to 2003

Court 10 Not sitting trial of Rahim Mohammadi accused of murder. Lea Adri-Soejoko,80 was strangled with a lawnmower flex at a London allotment

Court 10 at 10am Trial of issue in the case of Kema Salum accused of murdering his wife.

Court 11 at 10am Trial continues of Kyrone Bartley and Meshach Fletcher accused of assaulting a businessman and stealing his £13,000 Rolex watch.

Court 12 at 10am trial continues of Tyrone Farquharson and two youths, aged 14 and 15, accused of murder. Kelva Smith,20 was stabbed to death in South London.

Court 14 at 10am trial of Ahmed Khayre and two other inmates at Wormwood Scrubs  prison accused of stabbing to death a fellow prisoner.

Court 15  at 10am  trial of Reece Bliss-McGrath and others accused of murder. Azaan Kaleem,18, was stabbed to death as he walked down a Luton, Bedfordshire street with his girlfriend.

Court 16  at 10am trial continues of Russell Bishop accused of murdering two nine year old girls, Karen Hadaway and Nicola Fellows, in Brighton over 30 years ago. The schoolgirls were strangled and sexually abused .Bishop was put on trial due to advances in DNA science.
