CASES OF INTEREST AT THE OLD BAILEY ON FRIDAY
Court 1 at 10am Inquest continues into the Westminster terror attack on March 2017.
Court 2 at 10am trial of Jonathan Abora accused of murder. Israel Ogunsola, 18, was stabbed to death in Hackney, East London on 4 April 2018.
Court 3 at 10am Preparatory hearing in the case of Aiden James accused of terrorist offences. He as arrested at Liverpool Airport after allegedly fighting with the Kurdish YPG.
Court 4 at 2pm Sentence of policeman Thomas Pearson, who trashed a barbers shop with a traffic cone after allegedly going on a drunken night out in London’s West End
Court 5 at 10am trial continues of Dr Manish Shah, who is accused of sexually abusing 20 women, who attended his Romford, Essex surgery between June 2009 and July 2013. The youngest was aged 15. He is alleged to carried out unnecessary breast and vaginal examinations
Court 6 at 10am trial continues of Paul Crossley accused of pushing two men under a tube train on the same day, both survived. The victims were Sir Robert Maples,90, the former chairman of Eurotunnel and Tobias French.
Court 7 at 10.15am trial of Kevin Duarte and three others accused of the manslaughter of a 21 year old Romanian national,who was stabbed to death in Stratford Shopping centre in East London.
Court 8 at 10am trial continues of six teenagers, all under 18, accused of murdering 19 year old Lewis Blackman, who was stabbed 14 times after trying to gatecrash a party in Kensington, London SW. The prosecutor described the murder as “shocking” as the victim was repeatedly knifed as he lay defenceless on the ground.
Court 8 at 3.45pm Preparatory hearing in the case of David Parnham accused of sending letters to call for a day of violence against Muslims. He is accused of 14 offences including soliciting to murder and staging a bomb hoax.
Court 9 at 10am Application to dismiss charges in the case Agnes Taylor, the former wife of the ex president of Liberia, Charles Taylor. She is accused of torture during her country’s civil war.
Court 11 at 10am trial continues of Dominic Brown and others accused of murder. Jozef Boci,30, died six days after being beaten in the street in Greenwich, London SE
Court 12 at 9.30am trial of Tyrone Farquharson and two youths, aged 14 and 15, accused of murder. Kelva Smith,20 was stabbed to death in South London.
Court 15 at 10am New trial of Reece Bliss-McGrath and others accused of murder. Azaan Kaleem,18, was stabbed to death in Luton, Bedfordshire.
