WHY not make a day of it with our special seminars on law and order and journalism? Hear from barristers, police officers and national newspaper reporters about their experience of the justice system. Then see at first-hand two of the most iconic courts in the country, the Old Bailey and the Royal Courts of Justice.
This is a great opportunity for law, forensic, law, media studies and social science students. The day can be organised to meet curriculum criteria; just give us a call. Also ideal for women’s institutes, rotary club members and crime buffs.
It includes a brunch breakfast followed by PowerPoint presentations from guest speakers. Visitors are then given a tour around the Royal Courts of Justice and, providing there is space in court, the chance to view a High Court case, usually a criminal appeal.
You are then taken to the Inns of Court and, finally, off down to the Old Bailey, where you can watch a criminal trial in progress.
The day finishes at 4pm with afternoon tea, where your guides will answer any questions that have cropped up during the day and give further information and instruction to guests. For those who want them, alcoholic beverages are also available (supplementary charge applies).
The cost is £50 a head.
