CASES OF INTEREST AT THE OLD BAILEY ON THURSDAY

Court 1 at 10.30am Case of Stephen Whiteley and Ziad Akle, former territory managers for Iraq at energy consultancy Unaoil, along with their co-defendant Paul Bond, former Middle East sales manager at Dutch energy firm SBM. They are accused of bribing officials in Iraq for contracts worth US$800 million to rebuild the country’s oil industry after the fall of Saddam Hussein in 2003.

Court 8 at 10am case of six teenagers over the fatal stabbing of 17-year-old student Josiph Beker, who was stabbed outside a KFC in Edgeware Road, central London.

Court 12 at 10am trial of Zion Chiata accused of murder. Gavin Garraway,40, was stabbed to death close to Clapham Common tube station in south London.

Court 13 at 10am Mention in the case of Taylar Isaac and others accused of murder. Joshua White, 29, died in hospital after being stabbed through the heart on the afternoon of April 26.

Court 13 at 10am Pre-trial review in the case of Nikolay Zhvkok accused of murder. Krasimir Kartikov, 60, a Bulgarian national, who was found dead at his home. He suffered multiple injuries.

Court 13 at 2.15pm Plea and trial preparation in the case of Badir Alnazi accused of murder. Mohamed Abdullah Al Araimi,20, was stabbed to death on 5 December last year outside Harrods in Knighsbridge, London SW. Alnazi also denies wounding with intent, the attempted robbery of valuables worth £41,610 and possession of a bladed article.

Court 16 at 10am trial of George Nolan accused of murder The victim, 47-year-old James O’Keefe was found in Hornsey, North London suffering from a stab wound to the leg. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
